  • This is one tough cookie of a polyrope
Style: Aluminum Polywire
I built an electric fence a lot one side of my son’s winter cattle lot to keep the cows from jumping out and in winter hay. Since this was the first time I used such the product I reference Zareba’s library videos for help. These videos helped me to understand how to tie the ends especially to the Zareba charger. After all the work complete I plugged it up to find a vary strong charge to the 1/4 mile structure. Test showed all lights on with the fence tester. Cows will not come close to the especially since some suffered the strength of the charge. Fence is doing exactly what I wanted from the product. We’ll work the money. Shipping and packing came with no problems. My son is very impressed his 73 yo mother got the job done right! ... show more

  • Tends to stretch
Style: Aluminum Polywire
This was great for the price. Complaints are it unravels easily when cut and has a lot of stretch due the material it is made out of. I prefer other poly wire products, but this is hard to beat on price. These complaints are really nit-picks Great product overall.

  • Shocking good!
Style: Aluminum Polywire
Compared to other poly wire fencing material, this is shockingly good. The shock it gives with the same charger is somehow more intense and the yellow and slack color makes it easy to see. Our cattle won’t touch it after testing it once. We have 2 bulls on our property, with their cows separated by 10’ with this Hotwire. It is hilarious to watch them stare each other down, guarding their harems, but never touch that nasty shocking fence. ... show more

  • easy to use but can’t re use
Style: Aluminum Polywire
Poly rope is very easy to use but I guess it’s a one time use with this brand. Used reels to roll it up to save for the next year and it’s very weak and the wires are very brittle.

  • Didn’t last a year.
Style: Aluminum Polywire
Was easy to install. Deer ran right through it first night. I repaired it and put flags on it. Deer only ran through bottom strand of 2 strand fence. Breaks easily. Not as visible as I’d hoped for. Frays and small wire strands are difficult to put through connectors to repair. Between the wire and plastic type braiding it’s also hard to burn together to make it fit into a connector to repair. I’ve got a real mess with this now. So many breaks in the wire in so many places and parts of it haven’t any electric current because where it’s broken the wire has peeled/ pulled back. Then more braided wire needs to be tied onto the old wire, and again, hard to connect together. The current wasn’t to bad when I first installed it. After each break current decreased and now it’s pretty useless to try fixing it. Lasted less than a year with several repairs. I’ve gone back to 14 gauge galvanized wire. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: Aluminum Polywire
This is a good fence wire. I just came back to buy a second roll. Unfortunately I will have to look somewhere else. It’s a good wire at at $43 but not so good at $67. May be a supply and demand issue but I’m going to have to pass at that kinda price.
