  • ⚡️⭐️Essential Tool for Reliable Fence Maintenance!⭐️⚡️
⚡️The ZAREBA Black Electric Fence Tester (A1LVT-Z) is an absolute must-have for anyone running an electric fence. This simple, durable, and highly effective tool gets my highest recommendation. ⭐️Flawless Performance and Clarity! What has set this tester apart from the rest that I have personally had is its reliability and ease of use. It instantly and accurately gives me a reading on the voltage, confirming that the fence is firing correctly and providing the necessary containment power. The seven bright lights make checking the voltage incredibly simple, even in broad daylight or dim conditions. I don't have to fiddle with complicated digital readings; a quick glance tells me exactly where the voltage stands. ⚡️Built to Last! The construction is rugged and clearly designed for farm use. It feels solid in the hand, and I have no doubt it will stand up to drops, dust, and exposure to the elements. The insulated handle and metal probe are well-made, ensuring safe and reliable contact every time. ⭐️Simple and Efficient! Using the tester is a breeze. You just insert the ground probe into the soil and touch the fence wire with the terminal. Within seconds, you have your reading. It has saved me countless hours of guessing and unnecessary troubleshooting, allowing me to quickly find shorts or dead spots and keep my animals safe behind those (sometimes) stubborn electric fence issues. ⚡️If you own an electric fence, stop guessing about your voltage. The 'Zareba A1LVT-Z' is an affordable, durable, and completely reliable tool that makes fence maintenance quick and easy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more

  • It works great
Very easy to use i really like it . I hate getting shocked to test the fence. With this just hook the top on the wire and ground the lead wire and the light will come on if it is hot. Works great.

  • Works well, but the light is very hard to see outside.
Works well, but the light is very hard to see outside. I used an empty toilet paper roll to block the outside light and it works well.

  • It will tell you if your electric fence is working
I put up an electric fence temporarily to protect a nesting duck from a persistent raccoon. I wanted to make sure the fence was working so I ordered the Zareba Electric Fence Tester A1LVT-Z, Black. It did confirm the fence was working, pulsing like it is supposed to. This tester does that, and at a very reasonable price. I gave it 5 stars because it does exactly what it promises at fair price. However it doesn't give you any idea how much voltage/amperage it is putting out, just a light that indicates the pulses. The power the fence discharges to whatever animal you are trying to repel or contain can vary based on several conditions. For example, if the animal is standing in grass it will be grounded better than he would be on a sun baked driveway with the moisture cooked out of it. If your in the rainy season the cement will contain moisture and provide a better ground. The better the animal is grounded the more likely it will receive the advertised charge. Your system may not be delivering as advertised if you have a bad or loose ground, or a bad connection, or something shorting to ground anywhere on the hot side the system. And finally, your fence charger may have an issue and not producing the advertised power. If I had it to do over again I would spend the extra money and buy a tester that can help you evaluate your system and remedy any issues or deficiencies you might have. If I have occasion to use the fence I will upgrade. As I said before, the little tester I bought did confirm my fence was working, and if that is all you want to know it is a great little tester. ... show more

  • Easy to tell if your electric fence is working.
This works great to find out if your electric fence is working properly. It's a whole lot better than shocking yourself. Some say it is hard to see in the light, but I didn't find that to be true. Just hang it on the wire and stick the probe into the ground and the light goes on if the wire is hot.

  • cheap enough, works fine
One dog - the puppy - can tell the wire's "hot" the big dog not so much. Not willing to risk getting knocked on my butt - again - I opted for buying this as an add-on. Easy to use, just hang the handle on the wire and stick the nail end in the ground. Little neon lamp *(remember those? Early 20th century technology, or late 19th, not sure) glows red and in bright daylight the contrast with the black handle makes it very easy to see. A good investment. One I should have made years ago. ... show more

  • Bad tester
Works great and I now can test for current all around the property where the voltmeter failed. I would recommend it, since it is simple and lets you know the fence is working. This is a second review. As with all Zareba testers I've bought, I now have discovered it is only good for one time. After the first, one time use, it no longer works. I would recommend only if you feel it's worth $5 for each time you want to test. As with other Zebara testers, they won't test for you very long. ... show more

  • Works, but has minor issue.
It works okay, but with lower voltage fence chargers it's kinda dim in bright sunlight
