I love this thing. I’ve never been a big fan of using screen protectors, I never was able to find one that didn’t make the screen look “off” or annoy me in some way. However the Zagg glass protectors have become my go to. They’re crystal clear, the kit they come with makes them VERY easy to install STRAIGHT and without bubbles or lint getting under them. They do break, I’ve broken two of them, but that’s what they’re supposed to do. They’re supposed to break so that your phone screen doesn’t. The best part about these things is that Zagg’s warranty is awesome and super easy to utilize. Set up an account on their web site, register your product and with a couple key strokes you’ll have a new screen in route; no drama and no questions asked. They did ask me for the broken one to be returned so don’t trash it until you hear from them, just a heads up. The privacy feature is really nice too! I’ve used zag screen covers for several years and this particular model is the best. Very durable and smooth for ease of use. Easy to put on and fits perfectly for each model of phone. They come with a lifetime guarantee so it’s a great value. I bought this to replace a 6 year old one that finally showed cracks. While the warranty replaced for freedom the shipping was $10. This was much easier to install than with previous versions. Included is a plastic guide that slips over your phone and guides the screen protector in the perfect spot on you iPhone X or Xs. Remember to register on ZAGG.com as replacement of a chipped or broken screen protector is free (just pay ~$6 for shipping). I dropped my phone and chipped the screen and got the replacement within a week. Just know that the privacy filter will make your screen look slightly pixelated if you get really close to it or if you try to use VR goggles. The distortion is almost not noticeable to the average person. The privacy filter is not going to completely block the view of your screen from prying eyes, but it will help blur the text on your screen. I originally picked one of these screens up on a big box store sale. I was hesitant at first as I was concerned about it impacting the brightness and readability of phone in bright Florida sun. This was absolutely not an issue!!! The privacy screen works great and keeps those side seat passengers from looking at emails or iMessages I am sending from the plane, or anywhere else I encounter people who try to have wandering eyes. The straight on view as well as a few degrees off is great. But too far left or right and those close neighbors will not be able to read or see what you are doing. As for durability. I said my first one came from a local store as I saw it on sale and decided to try (which I am very happy I did). The screen held up well to multiple drops and regular abuse without cracking and protecting my screen as intended. It however did not hold up to being slammed in the rear door of my Jeep as I left black phone on black Jeep bumper. The protector however did its job and shattered in process but protected my phone. Not only would I say I would purchase one again. I actually did. Yes I know they have some warranty and probably would have sent me a new one. But amazon makes it so easy to just one click buy and get next day. Works great Saved my screen Did not impact brightness for me ... show more

I think everyone knows by now how much of a necessity screen protectors are for their smartphones. As for someone who used to work in a electronics store (Best Buy) I feel like I’m going commando when I don’t have a screen protector on my phone. Saves my life EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They are a bit on the high end of cost, but much better than paying for a screen replacement, when replacing your screen doesn’t ensure that the phone will still work properly. Zagg has always been the best brand, no reason to try anything else, though I have gone the cheap route and also been satisfied. Though, tempered glass is what it is. I like that Zagg makes theirs more durable, chip proof and damage resistant than the cheaper brand. When I was working at said store, I always had customer looking over my shoulder at my phone when I was browsing for solutions for them. The sense of privacy was voided, until I got changed to the privacy screen. Since then people just think my screen is broken and wonder how I use my phone, that is until I show them that my screen is perfectly fine, and indirectly let them know that I just try to keep people from being nosy. I will show them what’s on my screen when I am ready. Especially when browsing through my photos.. this has definitely been a great solution for privacy. It also helps keep the brightness down, like a pair of sunglasses. It makes the phone less bright if you have it out in the dark. Which also helps for glare too. This is my second one of these I have had, my last one lasted me over a year, and would’ve continue to serve it’s purpose, but I cracked it when I dropped it. I never drop my phone. But THIS IS THE REASON YOU NEED A SCREEN PROTECTOR ON YOUR PHONE. $30-40 versus a $200+ screen replacement. And depending on how bad your screen is shattered, if there are any tiny pieces of glass that fall into the phone itself, you may have issues beyond just your screen, even though you get it fixed. YOU NEED A SCREEN PROTECTOR. If you want to keep nosy people out, GET THE PRIVACY SCREEN!! That is all. ... show more
