This is my second purchase of this exact lighted wall mirror. The first purchase was OVER 10 years ago. That's amazing because these bulbs are not replaceable and I am truly impressed as much as I used the first one that it lasted that long. The bulbs are brighter than other make up mirrors I've used and I fully expect that this one will last as long. I love the Bronze color and I love that the mirror is larger than most,-- it's still lightweight and is so easy to install. I ordered this mirror for my teenage daughter after looking at several other local well-known stores and being disappointed at their selection and prices. Amazon had exactly what I was looking for, and at a lower price than the local shops. It was a very quick delivery - two days and well packaged! I installed the mirror myself, very easy to do. Having the adapter is a plus until we purchase the C batteries. The lighting is better than overhead lighting for putting on make-up and both sides of the mirror are excellent for those up close and personal applications. It can be pulled out and adjusted and then pushed back flush against the wall. I installed a little shelf right beneath of the same color it and it looks very elegant and classy (like the kind you find in very posh hotel rooms)! I would recommend this to anyone needing a lighted make-up mirror that does not take up space and gets five stars for functionability, durability, ease of use, and quality material (no plastic involved). ... show more

I purchased this mirror after reading multiple glowing reviews, as well as on the recommendation of a family member, however was quite disappointed for multiple reasons: 1. Quality: installation is laborious, and the materials included to assist (including drywall anchors and screws) were not sufficient for the installation. Several of the screws were already stripped, resulting in a need to purchase additional hardware to install. Once installed the mirror doesn't sit entirely flush with the wall; due to the weight it hangs just a bit down, which is frustrating when a level mirror would be preferable. After installing the mirror I discovered the LED light didn't work. I tried both batteries and the wall plug without success. Once I was able to use the light (see below) the mirror drained the batteries in less than a week with use of only 10-15 minutes per day. 2. Design: the mirror can be powered from either 4 C-batteries or a wall plug. The battery compartment is located on the back of the mirror, however in order to load or replace the batteries you need to unscrew the mirror from the wall-mounted base, remove the batteries and replace them, then re-install the mirror onto the base. The screws, as mentioned above, are not high quality, so every time they are used (which is often based on battery drain) there is the potential for stripping. 3. Customer service: I reached out to Zadro after discovering the LED light issue; there are two options to reach the company: email and phone. I emailed first, and after not receiving a response for 7 days tried the phone number. I reached a busy signal twice, then on the third try a voicemail message stating to leave a message, but for quicker service use the email address provided on the website. After 10 days I finally did receive an email reply and they offered to replace the mirror. The replacement mirror does light up, however the quality issues above remain with this product as well. 4. Price: I purchased it for $159.99; for the quality, design, and customer service this mirror is absolutely not worth the cost - both financially and time spent dealing with the issues resulting from this purchase. ... show more

    • We've had several magnifying mirrors and this is the nicest yet.
Pluses: 1) 10X magnification works great for detailed makeup work, my wife previously tried a 5X that wasn't strong enough, 2) mirror is free of distortion, others we've tried have been wavy, 3) bright, white light: better than another model we tried, 4) possibility of operating without a cord, 5) excellent cosmetics, matches our other bathroom fixtures. Negatives: 1) cordless requires 4 C batteries (not included) that are concealed inside the base. Changing the batteries requires removing 3 screws from the base and taking the unit off the wall to get at the battery compartment inside. 2) if you skip the batteries the power supply is a cheap black low-voltage transformer like the kind you get for small electronic devices and the cosmetics are much worse than the mirror, kind of wrecks the classy appearance. I gave it five stars because we will use it only in battery mode and I don't mind removing the unit once a year as long as we get the claimed one-year life for batteries! I may be back to change this rating if the batteries burn out faster. Note: 10X magnification on any mirror means your viewing distance is just a few inches from the mirror surface. Just enough room for a pair of eyeglasses if you are farsighted and for your fingers to do whatever they are going to do. If you only use the mirror for inspection rather than maintenance then clearance will never be an issue. ... show more

I like this mirror and I am not returning it, but there are a couple of things that I wish were different. First things first. It was relatively easy to install. Just realize that it uses anchors to attach to the base to your wall, so there will be 1/4” holes in the wall if you remove it. (As a side note, whenever I need to use anchors, I use the ones that screw into the wall because they are much easier to remove.) I decided not to install batteries because you have to remove the mirror from the base to replace the batteries. The screws that attach the mirror to the base are very small and are not easily accessed by a shorter person. Another note.. be sure you realize how much magnification you get with 10X. I probably would have been happier with 5X. ... show more
