I bought this rug to use in my living room while teaching music classes. The kids in my first class (1st-3rd gd) fell in love with this rug the moment they walked in. It was so soft and fluffy that they literally tried to swim on it. (It was soooo cute!) I had read that people were having a hard time cleaning the rug. So, I was putting the rug away when I didn’t have classes. I felt so bad for my own kids, and even my husband, bcuz they loved how soft the rug was, but with two dogs, one of which is a German Shepherd that sheds a whole lot, I was worried about the rug getting dirty. But one day, I was doing a quick vacuum around the tile by the rug before one of my classes and I accidentally vacuumed part of the rug. Much to my surprise, I didn’t have a problem at all! I had already used my heavy-duty wet/dry pet vac earlier that day, so I was just doing a quick touch-up to pick up some dog fur with a light-weight, stick-vac. Since this is a hand-held vac that has an attachment to convert it to a stick-vac, there are no rollers for the rug to get caught on! I was worried for a moment, but once I realized there wasn’t a problem, I was able to vacuum the whole rug! So, I decided to start leaving the rug out for my family, and they were so happy with it that my two teenagers, and even my husband, sprawled out on the rug that evening. I have now had this sitting out in our living room for two weeks, and it still looks and feels great! Before I decided to leave this one out, I had actually bought another similar-looking rug from Amazon that cost a little bit less for our family to use, but there was a huge difference in quality. The moment my kids stepped on the new rug, it slid across the floor and bunched up. After that, it was one critical comment after another. My kids said that fibers were short, sparse, and not very soft. Then, they noticed that when you lie down, the padding wasn’t thick enough to cushion you from the hard floor. I also didn’t like that the color looked dull and the rug itself looked very cheaply made. While I wasn’t happy with the cheaper rug, I was glad that we tried it bcuz it really made us appreciate the quality of this rug. Our kids love how much softer and how much more of a cushion this rug has. I love the fact that this rug stays in place, even when our dogs and teens are playing around on it. I also love how beautiful this rug is and how well it has stood up to my family, dogs, and students. If you are debating on a shag rug, don’t let price keep you from buying this one. I was lucky to buy this for a great price on Prime-Day, but if I ever decide to buy another one, I wouldn’t hesitate to spend a little more money for this quality!

Nice and fluffy to walk on. Like others mentioned, it is a bit slippery at first so be careful. Fit well in the room we needed it for. There were some "bubbles" when we laid it down at first but they seem to have somewhat flattened out since then. It's really pretty and the marble, mottled look is very nice. It gives it some depth. Easy to vacuum. I spilled potting soil on it and that vacuumed up with no trouble. Well worth the money.

We've had this rug down for 6 days now and it still has a terrible smell that has taken over the kids room and we're unable to close their door. On top of that, the rug leaves a terrible waxy coating on your hands and feet when you rub it. That has started to dissipate in high traffic areas, but a lot of the rug still has it. It's amazingly soft and looks beautiful. This would be a five star rug if it didn't have a waxy coating and terrible smell. Overall we're disappointed.

This is a beautiful comfortable plush. It has plenty of padding underneath. The 9x12 fits just right in my living room. I love to get in the floor with my grandkids. I have rheumatoid osteoarthritis and all kind of things but it feels good to be down there that’s a plus for me cause I normally don’t sit in the floor. It feels really great to your feet to walk on a barefoot, the only downfall with this rug was the smell it lingered for days and the dog was having problems with his breathing. He kept sniffing it, but it eventually left. I didn’t want to leave out that detail because it was pretty bad. I’ve purchased 4 of these rugs in all. Kitchen, living room, my bedroom and my son’s bedroom, addendum 07/16/24 I had to take the rug completely out of my living room because it doesn’t vacuum well after a while in this high traffic area and I had a spill on it, and I wiped it off with a towel as it was suggested in the website and what it did was flattened that part down so the rug ended up feeling horrible. The flat parts were very noticeable, and it was very hard to push the vacuum across the floor after while it started sliding across the floor because I have hardwood floors so it ended up being my worst enemy. I took the rug up and I’m going to take the rug up in my kitchen. That’s underneath my countertop with the stools because is doing the same thing in there. I don’t know if it’s because of the humidity in the kitchen, but I’m not very happy right now because I purchased the rugs in February gave a great review but now it’s only been five months and now I have to throw all of this money away.
