My condo association recommended these drains to catch debris and reduce drain backups. They come three to a pack, in pleasant muted colors and are well made of quality rubber. The center can pop out to accommodate different sized bathtub drains. I use a shower most of the time and figured out these wont work for that purpose during first use as they are too restrictive and quickly become blocked by soap residue. The reason they are not appropriate for the shower is why they work well for a bathtub drain as they will catch any hair or other debris and keep it out of your drain. They will reduce the speed of draining as they accumulate material and soap residue. They will need to be cleaned out after each bath.

I thought I was catching most of the hairs before they got to the drain. I have long, curly hair and believe me there are plenty that dont stay on my head! When they go down the drain, I have to clean the drain often. This little gadget is fantastic. After I got it and laid it over my drain, I made it a point to catch as much hair as I could before it went towards the drain. After I was through showering, and all of the water drained out of the tub, I was shocked at how much hair this little sucker caught. Meaning, there are many hairs you think you get, but you totally miss. Those hairs go down your drain and if you don’t clean your drain off and you will have big problems with clogs and possibly need a plumber. I think this is worth the money as it really gets so many hairs. I’m going to buy another one for my other bathroom. I bought the light gray and I like it. The product is not flimsy at all, but I would say a good quality that seems like it will last a long time. Not thin like some that I’ve seen.

This is easy-to-clean. Works pretty well. While it does catch a lot of hair, some hair does slip under. I thought it would have more of a suction seal to the tub — but it is not a desk breaker to me. Everything it stops is a huge plus.

Pros: *Hefty *Fits great over my antique (and awkward) old tub drain *Keeps a bunch of my hair from clogging the drain *Easy to clean up Cons: *It's a little built, sometimes I kick it out of place when I have my eyes closed 😅 *Stops water flow when it gets clogged up with soap or hair...which causes it to move *I cannot for the life of me get this thing to not float away once the above happens! It works, I'd rather deal with this thing than have my plumber have to come snake a hairball out of my drain again lol

I didnt know how it'll stay in place but the moment I placed it on top of my tub drain, I knew the purchase was worth it. The metal laying on top of the product acts like a weight so it doesnt move while water is running. Also, I love how it easily stops the hair from entering the drain and it collects it nicely for easy clean up

This thing is well designed and has good weight on it so it doesn't move once it's on the drain. There are tiny slit channels on the edges that allow water to water to flow through so it doesn't cause a backup of water. It is tall so that it fits over any normal size drain that has a pop up. It kept my hair from going down the drain so it's all good. Note, I don't have a lot of hair that escapes so it's easy for me to clean because I actually catch most of my hair and keep it on the wall during a shower but this keeps the ones I miss from escaping and clogging. I highly recommend it.

I have to admit that from the photo I had my doubts about this product. To be fair, every drain cover I looked at had seemed to have some issue, but I was tired of looking. I had spent a frightening amount of time searching for, and stressing over such an inconsequential item that it was downright embarrassing. (Ah, but it is this level of "sweating the small stuff" that likely precipitates my quest for the perfect hair catcher in the first place.) So, the zaa Bathtub Drain Hair Catcher it was. Less than 24 hours later it arrived at my front door; on time, well-packaged and in new condition (as expected.) 2 minutes after that, it was ready to use. All I needed to do was unbox the item, pop it up, and place it on my drain. Even I could not find a way to make that part complicated. It is so simple to use, to clean, and to remove. The best part is it does work really well! So much better than anything I have ever used before. I'd be surprised if anything gets past it. It looks and feels like a quality product. I am currently using this on a pop up style drain (lift and turn to open/close.) My drain is approximately 1" high, and the zaa bathtub hair catcher is more than tall enough to accommodate. The placement/start of the drain is really close to the end of the tub; it begins 1/2" in from the start of the upward curve at the end of bathtub, and is 2 1/2" in diameter. This drain cover has just enough room/clearance at the end of the tub to sit flush while maintaining solid contact all the way around the drain; even with the slightly textured surface of my tub. I would definitely buy this again, and I'm not just saying that to escape the torment of another prolonged crusade for the ideal hair catcher. What I mean is, I plan to buy another. Since this purchase, I've developed a nasty habit of accidentally knocking/dropping things into the garbage disposal, the majority of which cannot just be "disposed of". I've grown weary of trying to fish tiny items from my garbage disposal on the reg, so I'm going to get another zaa Drain Hair Catcher to save me from myself, (because, FYI, you can use it in the collapsed/flat position as a kitchen drain cover.) My only regret with this purchase, not buying the 2 pack/3 pack. Definitely recommend.
