We have a couple of lazy ragdoll cats. Lazy, except at 4 in the morning, when they want me to wake up to play with them. I read an article that if you play with your cats before you go to bed, it will wear them out and they're less likely to wake you in the wee hours. Tried that - not really interested. They have a whole basket of cat toys at their disposal - only sometimes interested Then came along the robot cat, as I like to call it. We've had it (non-binary) for a few weeks now and it's getting even more popular than when we first got it. The cats love it. They litter-ally flip over it. What's really genius about it, is that it comes on every 2 hours and stays on for only 15 minutes, so the cats don't get bored with it or take it for granted. It has a charger, so no batteries required. However, I just leave it on the counter plugged in and then there's no fussing with it at all. I liked it so much, I got another one for a friend. I recommend using the random setting. Great exercise for your cats. And the cats are no longer waking me up every morning at 4am. Still sometimes, though. 😻

I have three cats, a 1,2 and 4 year old and all of them loved the regular laser pointer I had. I hated it because I had to hold in the button nonstops and my finger would start to hurt after a while. I found this laser toy while browsing interactive cat toys and it is a gift sent by the kitty gods. All my babies love it and they get entertained for hours. The laser stops after a while but you just press the button and it starts over. It also has some kind of sensor in it so if my babies are in the right spot it senses them and starts on its own. I keep mine on top of our kitchen island for placement/height reference.

This is a great value. It works exactly as advertised and my cats go bonkers for the dot. The motion detection works well, and the dot will appear as one of them walks through the beam. The play area is large and the dot moves in a totally random pattern. It goes fast, slow, twitches, and pauses. I deducted one star because the USB C cable that comes with it is only a few inches long when it needs to be a few feet long.

My cat Cricket is very active and energetic. We needed a toy that would keep him both engaged and entertained. This laser has been GOLD!! Cricket is absolutely OBSESSED with this toy!! He literally begs us to turn it on for him so he can either watch the laser pointer or chase it (his cat sister Bella does the same thing). It gets his energy out, keeps him healthy and in shape (especially with living in an apartment and being an indoor only cat). I strongly recommend you buy this!! You will not regret it!!!

My cat was excited about it for a few days, then lost all interest. Tried to put it away and bring it out again, but she just demands the handheld laser (via button). She is high energy, so my guess is the Laser Light cat toy is too slow for her. It would be good for a kitten maybe, or for a less energetic cat. Took star off, because motion sensing doesn't work. Also, it needs recharge every 2 days.

My cat loves it. Whenever it's running, he is entirely focused on that little red dot, which means I get to focus on my work/meetings. The only downside is that the charge only lasts for two sessions and it takes 2.5 hours to charge. If you're willing to plug it in after each usage and only use it as temporary distraction for your pet, then it's wonderful. If you want a "set and forget" toy, you'll probably want to look elsewhere.

My cat has so far absolutely loved this. She is very entertained. We really like how you have multiple different options for the pattern such as normal, active, random. The motion detector works well & the product performance has been really good. It has a battery but we have been leaving it plugged in. The brightness of the laser is good as well. My cat gives a big thumbs up.
