As soon as I removed this step ladder from the box, I knew it is well-built and sturdy. It has a soft grip carrying handle, non-skid rubber feet, wide comfortable steps and is rock-solid to stand on. The steps are backed with a honeycomb pattern of plastic reinforcement – no sagging at all and I am a good test for that so I believe the 330 pound claim on the webpage. This step ladder is replacing an old rickety step ladder (see pic) that we have never really felt safe standing on. The smooth metal rod back stand would slide and the hinges were wobbly and the steps were small. The YVAN step ladder has none of these issues. We feel safe standing on the top step. That being said, there are 3 issues we found with it (none of which justify dropping any rating stars). 1) The rubber hand grip is off-center and I was unable to move it – either due to massive friction or it is glued. Not a big deal but that was sloppy manufacturing. (see pic – the ladders in the advertising pictures have the hand grip properly centered) 2) The rubber feet are easily pulled off or turned. If, with some usage, they start falling off, I will have to glue them on to prevent loss – not a big deal unless one gets lost and should not be a necessary home repair. 3) The top step has a hand grip that is intended to be used to open and close the step ladder. However, when opening the ladder, the guide rods sometimes fail to properly move the lower step which results in the lower step staying vertical while the upper step is horizontal. (see pic) Basically, you need to find a way, with a little practice, to open it up to prevent this misalignment of the steps. NOTE: After you open the ladder, press on the top step to make sure the notches underneath are touching the cross rod. Otherwise, when you step on it, it will fall into place – a bit disconcerting. (see pic) All things considered, we feel safe standing on this step ladder and are glad we ordered it. ... show more

Not a horrible complaint, but be aware: A good step ladder. But I purchased it because it advertised "Anti-Slip Rubber" . Actually the steps are hard Plastic, not Rubber. And the grip for the feet is significantly different--rubber being better. And the feet are Vinyl--not Rubber. That does make a difference in grip, therefore Rubber is better for safety. As a professional safety is very important. (for everyone else, also!) ... show more
