I got these to use with a shower caddy for our RV shower to hang loofahs on. Since they would be in a moving trailer I decided to use some needle nose pliers to pinch them closed on the smaller end around the caddy bar. The hooks are as described and the powder coated black matches the caddy well like they should have naturally come as a set. I think they will withstand the wet conditions and not rust but only time will tell. I could see me finding other uses for these since I have so many but only hanging loofahs for now. ... show more

The shape of these hooks aren't too unique these days. I needed several, dark black, hooks to use with my Stihl Kombi Hanger System that is installed in my shed (now no longer produced by Stihl, unfortunately). The hanging system has these horizontal bars that make up much of it, but only has a few supports for items, the rest is empty space. I found theses kinds of S-hooks (asymmetric) fit exactly, without binding, on the horizontal bars. I took a risk and it paid off. Now I can hang trimmer line spools, hand tools, and other items on the same hanger system along with the Stihl attachments and powerhead unit! Saves a me a bunch of hassle and they were cheap! I needed hooks for my air fryer refrigerator magnetic "spice rack". If you are looking at hooks, be sure of the size you want. I was going to go large, but after another's review I realized that small was the correct size. I also wanted the 'hanging' loop to be narrow as it was going to hang from the flat 'rail' that wrapped around the shelf. Some (most?) have big loopy hooks (that will allow what you're hanging to swing back (inward), and all that would do was the opposite of what I wanted. I wanted them to hang straight down. So hooking over a flat bar with little wiggle room allowed my large oven gloves to do just that. Anyway, strong hooks, just be sure to check your size. ... show more

I have a new metal barn on a concrete floor. It has a metal support that goes around the inside perimeter that I wanted to hang stuff from. I first thought of bending coat hanger wire to make hooks that would go over the supports but figured they would rust. Looked on Amazon and found these in two sizes and bought some of each size to try. They work great and are rust resistant. I am hanging things like garden tools, five gallon buckets full of stuff and even my chain saw on them. The larger size is working better for me. A lot smaller then they appear. Purchased these to use as hooks for our grill. The top closer is smaller they stated and won’t fit over the bar. We tried to stretch them out a bit but all the paint came off and they just fell apart. Would return if I could, but unable to due to trying to make them bigger to use.
