These hooks are very easy to put up and they actually stay. I had been taping a string of lights around my windows and the tape kept failing. I finally ordered these inconspicuous hooks and the lights have stayed up for months. I'm very happy with this product.

It's taken me a couple of days to calm down to write this review. I don't usually write bad reviews without something good to say but there's not much good about this product. The "peel off" paper on BOTH sides was hanging on for dear life and would not give up without a fight. When I was successful in finally lifting a corner, the peel off process was more like a Mexican standoff! I refused to give up and it refused to come off! I only needed to hang 4 items on the fence in my garden, 4 adorable metal butterflies, but the effort and struggle with the darn paper took way too long! I'd say, this should have taken no more than 5 minutes, including prep and clean up. But instead it took over 20 minutes and I was totally infuriated by the end. I managed to mangle many more adhesive strips than I actually needed so the fact that there are 45 clips in the pack is a moot point. You won't have enough strips left to be able to use all the plastic clips. (I just can't imagine trying to use these for a string of lights and needing all 45!). If it wasn't so late in the evening, I would have headed out for another product but I managed to get 4 of them on my fence and my butterflies hung, no thanks to the "easy peel off" process. Now I'm just waiting to see how long they'll last. I prepped the smooth vinyl fence surface as directed and so far, (3 days and counting) they're still hanging on. The package was intact when it arrived, but you know when you have a product like a bandaid that's old and you can tell it's beyond its shelf life? This is how these adhesive strips seemed. The foam under the paper covers was just clinging to the paper so that when you could get it started, it just came off in tiny strips, leaving a striped paper trail. And these things are small! It's a wonder my neighbors didn't hear me cussing! I wish I'd taken a picture to show you how awful these were. Lesson learned, when a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. I believe the seller might have been getting rid of old merchandise at a cheap price and it was WAYYYYY past its prime. If that's incorrect then Command Strips are not living up to their advertising. ... show more

I have no problem with that, except that the package only includes 41 hooks I wasn't going to ask for a refund over four hooks, but I did want to mention it here. Compared to what they charge at home depot or other stores this was a great buy! I LOVE using these to hold things up. Follow the instructions and wait 24 hrs after attaching to wall before you place anything on it.

I purchased these to put up fairy lights in my granddaughter’s play house. They have been up for almost a year now and are still holding great. Strong enough to hold the battery pack and even though they are exposed to the elements they haven’t budged. Highly recommend.
