High quality material.
Size: 3 STEP
The ladder is above and beyond in quality materials and construction. I am 73 years old This ladder will be on the side of my Hobie Pro Angler. I have never capsized or fallen out. I still believe in being prepared for going into the water. Every kayaker needs this rescue ladder, especially in cold water. ... show more

Excellent and sturdy
Size: 4 STEP
You can still use some help getting up, but having that leg lift makes a world of difference. Also had to use it to hold 2 rafts together after what the rafting company used snapped over a rock, and it saved us in keeping the rafts together. Super happy with this purchase

Good for the price
Size: 3 STEP
Good for the price just did not work well with our smaller boat. Was hard to climb back in, kept floating underneath. We need to find a better spot or get different hooks to attached it to the boat.

There for an emergency
Size: 3 STEP
We have blow up kayaks, which we love. Despite having and using life jackets, we find it impossible to both get back on the kayak successfully when we capsize in deeper or more active waters. Scary and not fun. Yes, we can..and have… grabbed on the the paddles, righted the kayaks and kicked to shore or a dock, but that takes a lot of the joy out of it, and can be a drag when there a large boats maneuvering around you. Although we haven’t used it for real, I attached the ladder to our kayak and did a few pretend fall in the water and climb into the kayak, scooch back to make room for my spouse and managed to do it without tipping the kayak and having to start over - the main issue we were having. ... show more

Solid!
Size: 3 STEP
Update! 4 years later it’s still rock solid and hasn’t lost it’s coating. I use this as a re-entry ladder for my ocean kayak. This will be the first winter that I leave it out in the elements. I’ll repost about its condition after the winter. Judging by the strength of this thing I’m pretty sure it would survive any and all conditions. Time will tell! For the price you can’t beat it! ... show more

Just what we needed
Size: 3 STEP
We bought this for the ladder off the front of our boat,, so our back ladder could hold a dog ramp. The front ladder was too high out of the water, but this makes it easier to get in. With no dogs, we use it off the back and our older guests are really grateful for the extra steps. Grateful to find the product we needed and it's easy to get on and off and store with the ladder. ... show more
