I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this but based off other reviews I thought what the heck plus returns are a breeze. I had adopted an elderly special needs Golden Retriever who due to a previous injury has very poor back leg balance. She won't walk on hardwood floors so I really needed a long enough runner that would assist her when walking through our kitchen to get to our backdoor. The runner I was in search of definitely needed to be a non-slip of some sort for her safety but I also wanted something that wouldn't break the bank, that I could easily vacuum over (she's a Golden) and wasn't so commercial looking either since it would run nearly the entire length of the kitchen. I happened across this one and I'm extremely happy with it! I have the runner on my hardwood floor in the kitchen and because of the high traffic, I was a little concerned about having to constantly adjust and straighten it out regardless of the backing. After I laid it down, I felt that it did maybe shift a very small amount after a week or so of constant walking on it but I honestly,I can't say if that's my OCD or imagination. Maybe a bit of both. Anyhow, the thought of buying a rug gripper for such a long runner was not something I wanted to do. I've tried them in the past and they've been nothing but a pain. Instead, I remembered I had a roll of shelf liner I'd bought years ago at the dollar store. Its the the thin rubbery and sort of gripping kind. So, I grabbed my scissors, cut off 3 pieces pieces, about 1ft x 1ft square and laid each piece under the center and both ends of the rug and viola! The runner lays perfectly flat and it hasn't moved an inch since I put my idea to the test! I have also vacuumed over it numerous times and it really does stays put! For those who don't tend to get as annoyed about adjusting a rug every now I would guess that the nonslip backing on these rugs or runners should be just fine. I will also mention that before I put my own DIY gripper down, I was still able to vacuum over the rug without any problem whatsoever. The low profile material makes it so the rug won't catch or snag when vacuuming. The colors on the rug I received is exactly as pictured. I haven't washed it yet so I can't say how well it holds up afterwards but if there's any issue I will definitely update! For now, I highly recommend! ... show more

I have only had this for less than 24 hours, but I would like to first say I am thrilled to have found a 12 foot runner for my kitchen, and a washable one at that. I layed it out as soon as it was delivered, and it lays nice and flat - no fold marks, no curled corners - which pleases me immensely. I have it on a wood floor, and it is not moving. the backing seems to grip very well. In addition, it is so soft under my feet. It is not thick, but it is soft. If indeed it washes up well, I will have found myself a winner for sure! ... show more

Thought I wouldn’t like the texture as reviews kept saying it was “so soft” I thought it would look weird ( not the usual texture of an area rug) but… I am so glad I took a chance because now I’ll never go back to the ones you can’t wash. I throw this in washer and hang dry outside and it’s good as new. You can tell it’s not your typical textured rug, but only close up. It’s worth switching to a cleaner option. It also doesn’t move! Bought this so my dogs stop dropping water everywhere after they drink out of their bowls. We were using beach towels before so this is an upgrade. Pretty, fast shopping and durable. Dogs have peed on it so have had to wash it twice already. Came out looking new. Took a few days to dry though

I was updating the colors in my master bathroom to grays and taupes and needed new rugs. I searched and read many reviews and this one was exactly as stated by one or more reviewers who ordered it for their bathrooms...not the kitchen or hallway...and exactly what I was looking for. These rugs are well made and very pretty. As a senior I didn’t really need to add a rug, but my senior, arthritic dog needed it for the traction. She definitely loves it as she now can safely access the hall leading to the bedrooms. I love the fact that it stays put and isn’t a trip hazard.
