Description

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A revolutionary playbook for building generational wealth, no matter where you grew up—from the founders of the explosively popular podcast and financial literacy platform Earn Your Leisure You deserve to be rich. You deserve to make a purchase without fear that your check might bounce. You deserve to go on vacation. You deserve to care for loved ones without worrying about bills. You deserve to live the way you want, without reservations or fear. You deserve freedom—financial freedom. If you agree, you’ve come to the right place. We grew up in New York playing basketball together. As kids, both of us were fascinated by finance, curious about the stock market and how money moves among systems and pockets. But we began to notice that—for people in our community—hard work wasn’t enough. The system wasn’t set up to help people like us turn our hustle into lasting wealth. We started Earn Your Leisure to change that. We never could have imagined the response. Soon our little podcast started to feel more like a financial revolution. But a podcast can do only so much. This book is our answer to the thousands upon thousands of people who have asked us for a detailed blueprint. The key to earning your leisure is to see money as a strategic tool for wealth development. In You Deserve to Be Rich, you’ll learn how to: • Deal with the psychological toll of growing up living paycheck to paycheck. • Create income- building strategies outside your nine-to-five, from investing to side hustles. • Use passive income to put you in control of your time and lifestyle. • Master tax and insurance systems and identify (legal) loopholes to maximize wealth. • Navigate family financial drama and find ways to support your community. That’s just the start. This book is full of tips, insights, and stories about real people, just like you, who have used the tools of wealth building to overcome barriers and build the life they want. You deserve to be rich. This is the playbook to make it happen. Read more

 • My book Review:
You deserve to be rich by Rashad Bilal & Troy Millings
⭐ 5 Stars
Format: Kindle
I received my copy of You Deserve to Be Rich on January 13th, after ordering it some time ago. From the moment I started reading, I knew this book was something special. I’ve been following Rashad and Troy, along with Ian “The Master Investor”, for years, and their work continues to inspire and educate. The way they bring financial knowledge from different directions—through their podcasts, interviews, and platforms—reminds me of the Wu-Tang Clan, delivering powerful insights from every angle of the economic spectrum. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to shift their financial mindset and take control of their future. It’s well-organized, easy to understand, and practical. The breakdown of different investment types and strategies is incredibly valuable, but what stands out most is how the book tackles mindset transformation. Many people struggle financially not because they lack intelligence but because they’ve been conditioned to think a certain way about money due to their upbringing and exposure. You Deserve to Be Rich challenges those limiting beliefs and empowers readers to re-evaluate their financial perspectives. One of the book’s greatest strengths is its clarity and accessibility. It doesn’t talk over people’s heads or make wealth-building seem unattainable. Instead, it lays out a step-by-step approach to investing, wealth accumulation, and financial literacy in a way that anyone can grasp. For me, this book is not just another finance book—it’s a blueprint. Alongside my Bible, this will be my go-to reference for financial literacy. I’ve been following Earn Your Leisure for about five years now, and I can personally say that I’ve learned, invested, and earned because of the knowledge these brothers share. My financial goals include purchasing property in Ghana, and I’m actively restructuring my assets to make that happen. Having visited Ghana before, I know how valuable this investment will be, and books like You Deserve to Be Rich continue to guide me on my journey. On a side note, Rashad, I heard you had your part of the audiobook professionally recorded. While I haven’t listened to the audiobook yet, I personally enjoy hearing your voices when I read—I can imagine you and Troy speaking the words because I’ve listened to you for so long. That authenticity is powerful, and while I respect any decision you make, staying true to your real voices is a strength that sets you apart. Currently, I’m reading The Richest Man Who Ever Lived (King Solomon) and The Master Key System, both of which align with my commitment to financial and personal growth. Reading a book a month (sometimes two) has been transformative, and You Deserve to Be Rich stands out as one of the most impactful. I finished this book on March 14th, 2025, and I’ll be ready for the next one when it drops. I appreciate you, brothers, for your dedication to financial education, and I look forward to seeing you at future events. I attended Carnegie Hall recently, where Robert Smith and other powerful speakers shared their insights—it was an incredible experience. I wish you both health, wealth, wisdom, and understanding. • I'm Sold!!!
Format: Hardcover
You Deserve to Be Rich: Master the Inner Game of Wealth and Claim Your Future is more than a financial guide—it’s a cultural shift wrapped in strategy and soul. Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings bring their Earn Your Leisure ethos to the page, offering a blueprint that feels both practical and personal. I haven’t finished the book yet, but what I’ve read so far resonates. I’m picking up what they’re putting down, and it’s hitting with clarity. The writing is direct but layered, blending financial literacy with emotional intelligence. It doesn’t just talk about money—it talks about mindset, trauma, and the systems that shape how we relate to wealth. There’s a rhythm to it, like a conversation between brothers who’ve seen the game from the inside and want you to win too. The chapter titles nod to hip-hop and pop culture, which makes the lessons feel familiar and grounded. What stands out is the way they frame money as a tool for freedom, not just survival. They speak to the psychological toll of scarcity, the importance of multiple income streams, and the power of community wealth. It’s not preachy—it’s empowering. And it’s written for those who’ve been told they don’t belong in the wealth conversation. So far, it feels like a book I’ll return to, not just finish. It’s giving me language for things I’ve felt but couldn’t name. It’s reminding me that financial freedom isn’t just about numbers—it’s about narrative. And I’m here for it. ... show more

 • Gems!!
Format: Hardcover
You Deserve to Be Rich by Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings came at the perfect time for me. I picked this up intentionally as a way to close out the year with clarity and step into the new one more grounded in my financial goals. This book has quickly become a personal reference — almost a “financial Bible” — for reshaping how I think about money. What I appreciated most is that this book doesn’t just talk about dollars and strategies; it addresses the mindset behind money. The authors do an excellent job breaking down the psychological impact of scarcity and how it shapes our decisions, habits, and beliefs. They reframe wealth as a tool for freedom, not excess or greed, which felt both affirming and empowering. The book offers a strong foundational approach for beginners looking to build a financial plan, with clear explanations and real-world examples that make the concepts feel accessible rather than overwhelming. Topics like building multiple income streams, understanding ownership, and leveraging community wealth are presented in a way that feels realistic and motivating. What stood out most is how practical and encouraging the tone is — it’s not preachy or judgmental. Instead, it meets you where you are and pushes you to think bigger while still taking actionable steps forward. ... show more

 • The Blueprint
Format: Hardcover
I bought this book after watching the EYL interview posted with Chris Sain and announcing the book was out when Chris championed support of making it a best seller. And, I've seen some of Ian, the Master Investor, discussions on the YouTube Market Mondays with Rashad and Troy. These guys have a passion for what they do and share their truths for people to learn. I have this book in hard copy and Audiobooks. I have since purchased 8 copies so far to share with the people I love. The healthy money relationship paradigm shift, the reference to historical trauma influencing peoples behaviors with money and how they use it, the relatable examples to touch people where they are - are valuable and encouraging for people to view themselves in the position of power to change their current state for a future state that shifts the trajectory for themselves and the people they care about. Between these guys and a few others, I'll get to where I deserve to be monetarily so I can change the lives of the people I care about. Others will be benefactors of a changed mindset being accelerated to where it deserves to be... now if I could only accelerate my digesting and conceptualization of "options"! I wish you guys and those like you continued blessings... and thanks for the complimentary short term affordable EYL access. RH. ... show more

 • Great Read For Beginners and Intermediate Wealth Builders
Format: Hardcover
This was a great read! I would consider myself pretty (self) educated on financial freedom. I think this books is great for those that are at the beginning and intermediate stage of wealth building. Outside of what I knew about property and investing in stocks, I learned how about building wealth through tax write offs, life insurance, and entrepreneurship. My favorite part was the budgeting model and EYL in a year. It even gives you steps on what to do after a making your first million. The only downside to this book is that I think it could have went deeper in some topics. I don't think it would be helpful to someone who's very advanced in game. Perhaps continuing to listen to the MM podcast or actually being members of EYL would be the better play. However, I think purchasing this book despite this one critique is a great way to support their amazing business. Without EYL, I would definitely not be where I am currently on my wealth-building journey. I am grateful for this book and looking implement the EYL principles to achieve my short and long-term goals. ... show more
