  • One of the best gift from God
Color: Pro Magnetic
I have knee problem preventing me from exercise. This summer I tried road biking and it works without knee pain. Then I worried about cold seasons. I did a thorough research both in Amazon and YouTube and decided to buy this one. It turned out to be so good that even my wife who doesn't care about biking fall in love with it:) You need to do descend research before buying an exercise bike because it is difficult to return for its weight and size. YouTubers don't seem to favor this one. I choose to trust Amazon review. It's rock solid and no touch pad. I used to be a mechanical engineer and would say no any maintenance for years to come. It's magnetic and ghost quiet. You can do exercise while watching TV, Apple TV, YouTube or listen to music. I figured that I can pedal it reversely to have zero impact on my knees. You pull the pedals from 2 o'clock to 10 o'clock or stretch it from 7 o'clock to 4 o'clock. Or auxiliary. The cal. burning rate is the same. You may need some practice to get used to it. The reverse motion actually minic knee rehab exercise while burning cals. I noticed they improve my knees over time. Some people have issues about the pedals fall off on the older model. I noticed this new model reinforced the pedals. Some people may put too high resistance and apply too much body weight on the pedals. Being a road biker, I can tell how much resistance to simulate real biking experience. For an average exercise biker, It's 100 cal., 3 miles, about 15(running) to 30 minutes(relaxing). That's about the right resistance. You'll see you don't have much weight on the pedals. In real road biking, if you put more weight than that, you'll getting faster and faster and tired soon or lost balance. If you really like more weight on the pedals, you are a mountain hiker. I think the 350 lbs means the structure can support a person with that weight, not on the pedals because belt drive mechanical system is for quiet and high speed, not for heavy weight. A 150 lb.-ft. torque is in the range of a car engine which uses gear drive. Youtubers complain that it has no fancy screen functions or online program. It serves my interest. I think those are for the people feel boring. If you can watch YouTube, Amazon Prime movie, Apple TV, etc. and listen to home theater music, why you need those bells and whistles. Some people complain about the screen is too dark. I agree. But products need trade off in design. If you want it brighter, you'll need to change battery frequently or hook up to electricity that is a no to me. For me to fix the problem, I bought a motion sensing light strip (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1QCR88N?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and put it on the ceiling of the basement above the bike. It works perfectly for me. Some small size people have issues about the handle bar too far away. I kind of agree. I am 5'7" and ride on a 27" road bike. It's farther away than a 27" road bike. I can raise the height of the handle bar so it isn't a problem for me. For shorter people, it may be too far away. Hope new version can fix it. The screw hole on the handle bar actually goes through. If you want to fix it yourself, you can drill an M8 hole on the base, move the handle bar about 2 inch closer. It took me one hour. See attached picture. Some have issues with the seat. I feel the seat is very comfortable compare to my road bike. But after about 30 minutes run, I felt numbness of my butt, which never happen in road biking. Then I switched the seat with my road bike. The result is the same. Numbness on the indoor cycling. No such thing on road biking. It proved that it is the nature of stationary bike - because you sit still, no bump, it hampers blood circulation. The way I deal with it is to get off every 30 minutes or so, or create artificial bumps. ... show more

  • Almost a winner
Color: Pro Magnetic
Bought this mid ranged cycling bike merely from other reviews. Very simple to assemble, mostly very sturdy materials, the included monitor for data is nearly unusable. It badly needs a backlight. The bike runs super smooth very quiet and works with most cycling apps that recognize the Bluetooth that isn’t clearly defined as being on this bike that I thought wasn’t a smart cycle. But IT IS … not fully but adding inexpensive data sensors to the pedal and flywheel will make this a fully functional smart cycle. Like I said some fitness apps will recognize the bike and with those sensors added you can easily bypass the poor stat monitor included and track your stats via your smart watch or within the apps themselves. Overall very nice inexpensive bike made well and doesn’t feel cheap. The 40 lbs fly wheel is great. Great entry bike for newbies like me. ... show more

  • Good - but with faults
Color: Pro Magnetic
Purchased this bike in the fall of 2021 to replace an older, big-box-brand stationary we had had for 8 years. My wife and I will combine for 4-8 rides per week ranging from 30-60 minutes each. We were looking for a quality, smooth operating, quiet bike that didn't require us to use techy features or spend big $$ on something like a Peloton. We felt this would fit the bill. Setup - 4/5. A little quirky - but overall fine. Initial impressions - 4/5. It is heavy and has some definite sharp angles/edges/corners - so watch how you move or bike with it. A little difficult to move around - but once setup shouldn't be a concern for most people. The screen/monitor is atrociously dim. You can't see anything on it. We don't use it - so not a dealbreaker for us. Ride Quality - 4.5/5. Riding this is really pretty good. The most important part for us to was to have a smooth, ergonomic, and quiet ride. It is definitely smooth - very nice peddling, comfortable, with lots of functional hand positions. I quite like the handle bars and the phone holder is nice. This is the bikes strong suit - the ride experience being smooth and consistent, with a nice range of resistance adjustment. Seems stable even when standing and really cranking on the pedals. .5 point deduction for intermittent sound issues (more below). Build Quality - 3/5. This is the biggest complaint so far about the experience. First, we have had intermittent noises and squeaks come from various components. The seat post squeaks at times - so we've had to keep it lubricated and actually learned to back-off the adjustment screw a half turn or so to eliminate that squeak. Then the drivetrain makes a creak periodically - and we can't seem to do anything to make that stop, but it does go away on it's own - seems like it makes that noise <5% of the time when the belt gets into a certain position...? There's also an occasional click that can happen <5% of the time too from the drivetrain. Without taking the whole thing apart - not sure where these are coming from. I've added bike specific lube on appropriate points to try to help with all of this. There is also a small tear forming in one of the seams of the seat (which isn't a huge deal). Lastly, the resistance knob assembly screw failed. The screw completely stripped out after only one year of operation. This rendered the bike pretty useless because without any resistance on the wheel, it spun freely and didn't offer much of a workout. Customer service - 5/5. After the resistance knob failed, I reached out to customer service who responded promptly clarifying what part was broken and assuring me they would send the right replacement at no charge. Sure enough - within the week the replacement part along had arrived along with a how-to-video to show the replacement process. New part has been installed and the bike it back up and running smoothly again. Overall - I think this bike is good, not great. I'm happy enough with it at the price point and given it's ride quality/smoothness. This is 95% of the bike we expected at this price point. Would I buy it again... probably not. If there were only one or two small flaws, I could give them a pass... but with multiple flaws, I can't say that it's something I would buy again. In the future, I'd probably try for something slightly more refined or higher quality even if that meant more expensive, but I'm also glad we didn't spend $1500 on a "high end" product. This is a good option if you can concede some minor flaws. ... show more
