I was surprised by the quality of this Uke!. Also, it tunes up nicely. My 3-year old Grandson has really put it through a lot and it hasn’t broken. Still tunes and still plays. Of course, it’s a toy so it’s not going to sound as nice as a true musical instrument. Yet, it doesn’t sound bad either, better than most cheap Ukes you might find in toy stores. It comes with a simple song book too. I’d recommend keeping the box nice so you can store it in there and teach the little ones about taking care of their musical instruments. The color is nice and the plastic material is strong. The size is perfect for kids and adults. Plays like a regular Uke. I would say it has great entertainment value and would be a great addition to a toddler rhythm instrument set for playtime.

My grandson loves when I play the ukulele so I wanted to get him one. I leaned toward getting him a real ukulele but was aware of the problems with that idea. First, a real uke needs to be kept in tune. Second a wooden uke is delicate and most are too big for him. After reading the reviews for this toy uke, I realized that it was the best choice. It is inexpensive so no one is agonizing over how he is treating it. Let's face it little kids can be rough. He loves to turn the tuners so it is never in tune and can't really stayed tuned even if you try. He has banged it around and dragged it across the floor. He's just a normal little boy who drops things and bangs them around. This uke is plastic and can take a beating. The most important part is that he loves it. He takes it with him everywhere and loves that he can make sounds with it. He is not looking to play beautiful music or maybe it sounds beautiful to him (it's not loud or unpleasant). He's just having fun which is what it's all about. When the adults take out their ukes, he get his and he like to place it next to my uke when I put it down. If your child is ready to really learn to play a ukulele, then get him or her a real uke. If they just want to have fun, this uke is fantastic. The most fun I ever bought for $20.

This is perfect for my 2-year-old grandson, who loves guitars. The box that it comes in doubles as the guitar case. It has real strings and includes picks and instructions on how to play the instrument. I would recommend this if anyone has a child interested in music.

This was perfect as a gift for a 2 year old. He loved it. But this is not a serious musical instrument. If you care about the quality of sound or ability to finely tune it you need to spend more on a real instrument. But my two year old grandson loves this one and that was the point.

As a toy, it succeeds. As a musical instrument, it does not. Tuning it is nearly impossible. The increased tension on one strings changes the tension of the other strings. We've had success tuning all four strings to the same note which seemed to last for a while. Our 3-year old likes it. It's durable. She has stood on it without cracking it. She doesn't care that it doesn't stay in tune. We bought a second one which, unlike the first one, was utter trash. All four strings lie on the top fret, closest to the sound hole, rendering the fret board useless. There is no way to adjust the tension of the neck. Even tightening the strings didn't lift them. So, a three star review may be generous. You can almost certainly find equal or better quality out there.

This is a child's ukulele. Not meant to be a real long term instrument. The strings can be tuned. It is much smaller than your typical ukulele, great for children. I got this for my 7yo daughter, who is taller than many 7yo's, but the perfect size for her. The strings are slightly gentler on young fingers compared to regular nylon strings, but little fingers will still get sore when first learning. This is a great first instrument for someone that thinks they may want to learn a stringed instrument before committing to a more expensive one.

Don’t waste your money. I ordered this for my son’s birthday and when we opened to tune so he could play it FELL APART! Demanded a refund. They wanted me to return the damaged product but refused to go out of my way to send it back because they RUINED our gift for him. We will be receiving the refund and rightfully so. Do not buy this . It is cheaply made and all plastic.
