The directions are only pictures, but I build this by myself and I'm a lefty and usually struggle. You have to look ahead in the directions for clarity, you build it upside down so most of it I was confused and thinking it was wrong. And step 8 does NOT need any wood pegs, those holes are for something else in the next step. That was the only error. The doors slide perfectly, it's super sturdy. Love this entertainment stand! It seems to be super sturdy and great quality! It was a little tricky to set up because the manual only has pictures so we had to guess at a few things. My advice would be to pay very close attention to the details of the prices, like holes in wood and make sure you face them in the right direction. Don’t tighten anything too much until you’re sure it’s in the right place. Even though it was tricky, for the price it is a beautiful piece of furniture and I think it’ll last a long time! This item was pretty easy to assemble. As I said in the title, it was a decent value for the price. It does NOT look as nice as the picture. You get what you pay for. The box was damaged on the outside when it arrived to my home a day later than expected and there was damage to one of the cabinet doors and front corner. The box appeared damaged from the outside as if it had been dropped and drugged across the yard. Totally not happy about the handling of this furniture.
