I expected more. It doesn’t get cold enough to keep the ice completely frozen so a lot seems to go down the drain.

Couldn’t work better! This isn’t a Scotsman but if you have guests and need constant ice it does the job. I put it in my shop for our shindigs and gatherings. The trick is to leave it alone for 24 hours. Just put it upright and don’t touch it. I think people leaving negative comments didn’t let the machine rest like you are supposed to with all refrigeration products after shipping. I’m certain it was upside down at several points in the journey. I dropped a jug of water on it and I set the ice from anywhere from 2 to 6 depending on what I want to use it for and every 10 minutes another rack of ice drops. It will hold ice after being shut down for three days. The bucket and scooper perfect; when the ice is in a big chunk, I drop it into the bucket. I use the scoop to beat it up and then I’m making drinks.

The media could not be loaded. This is an awesome counter top ice maker. Just clean it out properly before the first use, fill with water, and it starts making ice as soon as you plug it in and on. The first round took about 10 minutes while it got nice and cool inside, but after that the following rounds were about 5 minutes or less. The fill light came on in about an hour. The ice is more of an oval hollow shape, but still easily crunched and perfect for a quick drink. This is a great portable tool that's perfect for different occasions. With summer coming up, you can bring it outside out of the sunlight and have a setup for ice with lemonade/water for the kids. If you have an older freezer with a non-working ice machine but still have room for the ice tray, you can fill it up with this ice to keep some on hand. You could quickly fill up a drink cooler as well. The ice maker keeps it chilly in the basket, but keep in mind it does not keep the ice frozen for a long period of time. The ice will start melting depending on the room temperature, so this is ideal for either transporting into a cooler area or using for drinks as it is made.
