I picked this as a second monitor for my Mac Mini so I could watch movies while working. It was exactly what I needed, with excellent quality and it fit my space perfectly. It worked well for several months, but then the "+" button on the side of the monitor, which you use to increase settings like Brightness, became stuck down so it couldn't be pressed. It left me with a dim monitor. I wrote to VIP Monitor, asking if there was a way to repair it. They responded quickly, and offered to send me a replacement. I am happy to say that I received my replacement within a few days. I would definitely recommend this product, and would buy from this company again in the future.

Just got this item. Using for work. It’s almost scary light weight. It runs off USB C if you can connect to laptop etc that way but has multiple inputs. For non critical work like office, editing it seems to work well and 4k looks good. Brightness looks good for normal inside office work. There is some ghosting but for the price point and expectations on a product like this it’s totally acceptable. I would think for most portable gaming a faster response lower resolution model will be better suited. This 4k model however is excellent for productivity work traveling or if you don’t have a dedicated office.

It broke after four months of use. If this is supposed to be a portable monitor it should have a better quality. I will continue this review later. For now I have a display with dark vertical lines Totally unusable.

Set up is incredibly easy, but the image quality is incredibly dim and not very sharp. One has to increase to full brightness upon each use. Colleagues who use a PC say it’s on par with their laptop, but my Mac Book Pro is very sharp and bright. I was hoping for something of similar quality. If you have the money I would go with something more comparable, this is a budget option. Very portables

This is a general review I have for two different 16 inch 4K monitors I bought on Amazon. I am pretty sure the internals of both monitors were different, as the switches and connectors were on different sides. My use of the monitors was for secondary systems. Thus, I planned on using an HDMI switch to select the desired system. What I discovered is the quality of the switch really matters. I used a Kinivo 550BN on both monitors, and had poor success. Both monitors would blink off, and back on. I also noticed that some HDMI cables also caused that problem. What I determined, these 16 inch 4K monitors want a great 4K HDMI signal to work well. Today, I received the Fosmon 3-Port HDMI 8K Switch with Remote, Support 8K from Amazon. It is working well. Both monitors worked fine with the USBC to USBC connection to a computer. If hooked up to a laptop as a secondary display, it will eat the battery if the cable is also providing power. Plan on using the second USBC port for powering the monitor so the laptop doesn't need to provide power. I just want to point out the importance of providing the monitor with a VERY clean HDMI signal. It will be required. This monitor worked for about a day on the USBA to USBC cable. I don't know if I broke something inside. I do know that USBC power brick to USBC monitor gives the monitor more information about the power it is being provided. I am using the brick right now, and all is well.

ZSC Malls went out of their way to make this right. Thank you! 10/10. Purchased in March, worked fine and then POOF! Says no signal and goes into Power Saving Mode. I've tried three different USB-C cables, a brand-new Dell XPS, and a MacBook Air with the same result. Very disappointed, as this was a great little monitor until it failed. TL;DR worked for 6 months and broke.

Directly above the 4 VESA (never used) mounting points for a stand is pronounced and distracting pixel damage. I have used this 3 times for a total of about 6 to 8 hours. It has been in a laptop bag in it's protective case the entirety of its remaining time. The buttons can be fussy and you will always need to adjust brightness upon set up. Portrait view is possible with a VESA stand, without it means the buttons will be pushed because on th other side are cable inputs which means it can't be set vertical on that end. Several times it simply shut off requiring unplugging cables and powering it on again before adjusting brightness. This may be due to power input and device providing power vs. signal. I powered off a portable power brick to bypass sleep mode and USB port finicky sleep power profile in Windows. The resolution, thinness, and simple HDMI and USB C video input are its best qualities. My experience with this unit is not a problem of wear and tear, because this had very little, it is just problematic build quality. ***edit July 1, 2024*** I was contacted by the company about my unexpected problems and they stood by their guarantee that their products work and do so as expected to your satisfaction. They refunded my purchase and I look forward to trying another portable screen in the future.
