I love this large greenhouse. Out of the box the product is well constructed and will work well in most areas as long as you follow the instructions on securing it to the ground. In my case, and because I have an uneven area in my yard where I wanted to install it, I chose to build a short 2' high wood-framed level foundation that the greenhouse sits on top. This gave me the benefit of not only ensuring the greenhouse frame is level, but it also increased the inside height to nearly 9'. I installed the galvanized frame all by myself in 5 hours time using a simple cordless drill, the Allen wrench provided and 3/4" pipe clamps I purchased at Lowe's to hold the frame to the wood-framed foundation. I also used wiggle-wire to attach the greenhouse fabric to the side of the 2"x6" cap board of the wood-framed foundation. This allowed me to get a good tight fit of the fabric over the galvanized frame which will keep water from pooling between the arches. I live in Maryland, so I plan on adding a center support beam constructed of 4"x4" and 2"x6" wood to handle snow loads during the winter months. For the 2' foundation I am adding 6mil UV greenhouse plastic and will tie that in with the wiggle wire holding the greenhouse fabric. UPDATE: Added greenhouse plastic to cover wood base frame and added screen doors on both end. Just a little cleanup and I will be ready for spring transplanting. ... show more

The directions are picture based with parts numbered. The tools like every are cheap and are destroyed when you're done if you make it that far. If you are used to assuming cheap furniture and are mechanically inclined this product is worth the price. Prep sand bags or whatever to weigh the sides down. The tie-downs it came with are worthless ... show more

Put this together with my husband in about 4 hours. We put it together according to the directions, and added extra reinforcement by purchasing heavy duty tie down stakes and pins as has been recommended on these reviews. Last night we had rain, and a 13 mph wind gust recorded on my weather station. This morning, the greenhouse was a tangled mess of torn cover and bent metal. The frame bent at every single attachment point, where one piece of pipe fits into the next. The photo comparing the thickness of the pipes is what I think disappoints me the most. The pipes used for the frame are not that thick. They are just as thin as all the comparable greenhouse kits on Amazon. Don’t waste your money. ... show more

This greenhouse is priced attractively, and if your needs are right, this could be a good fit. If you think you’ll outsmart the system and get a higher-quality greenhouse for about $100, you'll be disappointed. Aside from the price, here's what I like: A full tubular metal frame, with all screw and nut fasteners, AND the custom-fitted tarp. The kit provides you an allen wrench as well as a small wrench that fits the nuts, so if you do not already have the correct tools, the kit provides them. The tarp comes with zip-up/down doors and windows and the zippers seem to work. The tarp, out of the box, seems to be adequately built (time will tell). The barrel roof makes the greenhouse feel much larger. Assembly wasn't too difficult for one person. All in all - took me 4.5 hours, by myself. Once the tubular frame is assembled and tightened, it feels adequately solid..... not heavy, but solid as opposed to flimsy. Here are some things to consider: If you struggle to put together Ikea furniture, you'll hate this. Instructions are in picture form only and they are not as easy as Lego instructions. You'll need some intuition. If you are challenged with assembly intuition, then you may want to consider a different solution. The advertisement would lead you to belive the frame's metal tubes are high quality - in reality, they can easily compress when being screwed together with a $.30 allen wrench and a $.95 wrench. Will the tubes rust? I’d be more surprised if they did not. The provided "tie down anchors" are cosmetic at best. They are flimsy, wire metal "L's" - the same ones that come with your typical $25 holiday lawn inflatable. To think these can actually anchor a greenhouse in place during a heavy wind falls into the "wishful thinking" bucket. As to the tarp itself - I honestly can't tell if it's going to hold up or not. Will a strong wind pull it apart at the seams? I'm not sure yet. That's going to be the gamble for me, which tells me if this was a good purchase or not. I'm only hoping for one winter, if we make it past that, then I'll be happy. In summary - it all comes down to how realistic your expectations are going into this. You get a lot for your $100, but you are not going to get "more than you pay for", by any stretch. UPDATE - April 2024. We had a very mild winter, with almost no snow, but the tarp held up for the winter. No rips, no tears. I'm happy with this purchase. ... show more

We live in NW Florida and rarely get freezing weather (usually only a few days a year), but lost a lot of plants due to a freeze last winter. Since we have a lot of potted plants outside, we needed a temporary greenhouse to put them in once the temps drop. This 20' greenhouse is the perfect size, considering we have a LOT of very large potted plants. It did take 2 people to put it together, and the manual is just pictures and a little confusing, but the only problems we had was 2 missing pieces. I contacted the seller and they took care of it right away. We've already had a couple extremely windy days and it held up just fine, though we do have it situated in a fairly protected area. We opened the box and took everything out to make sure the parts were there. 13 & 8 were missing. We only had one 8 which was actually a sticker placed over number 13. I contacted the company and they said they had no spare parts in stock and we can apply for a return or refund through Amazon. I just wanted the correct parts- not a refund as trying to rebox and get this giant thing sent back is going to be a nightmare. Luckily my husband is pretty handy and will rig something to make it work for us. Otherwise- this is a great starter greenhouse! ... show more
