This rope is a good quality and has nicely looped and reinforced ends. It is very convenient for carabiners and can serve a multitude of functions like a dog tie out. It also came in a less common length that was the Goldilocks length I was looking for.

This is a strong rope with some very handy end loops for attaching carabiners and other things to it. However, it isn't really long enough for a lot of practical uses. I should have ordered a longer one. That being said, I will probably use it and just attach it to other ropes to get to the length I need. Ordered this climbing rope as part of a safety kit for carrying in the truck for those just-in-case moments that strike and want to be prepared. Wanted a quality rope that could be used to tie down objects, tie-out a dog or goat or even one of the horses if needed, secure camping equipment in the event of a sudden storm, help someone who is struggling with a hill or ditch and unable to reach them, etc. This rope has a nice feel to the hands and the ends are sewn and wrapped. Very happy with the rope for the purposes It will be used for. The carabiners on the other hand have multiple areas that are sharp. I drew arrows to those locations in the picture. Several of these areas could contact the rope, depending on use, and result in fraying. Also sharp enough to cut hands if gloves are not worn. I will file these down and use them somewhere I don't have to handle them very often. One of them also did not initially seat well when closed, took repeated open/closings for it to seat correctly without help. ... show more

YimHeeZ-RockClimbingRope: The rope seem strong, however I took a few minutes to grind off some of the sharp edges to found and feel on the "PVC cushion", carabiners. As there are no marking on the carabiners I will not able to use as a safety rope until I changed it out with a stamped/ certified carabiners. The machine sewing where the two ropes meet render this rope to be used only near ground level. ... show more

This rope seems to be fairly well-made. The polyester exterior stays tight and doesn't expose the nylon inner core. The exterior seems to resist abrasion well and doesn't absorb water. The description indicates that both the rope and the carabiners are certified by ASTM although there is no indication of that certification or reference numbers for this combination of rope and carabiner. The carabiners are poorly made. They have sharp edges on the screw mechanism which can pierce the rope under tension. The lock gate is not full diameter -- it's mitered to fit with the adjoining part of the gate. This is a clear indication that the carabiners are not ASTM certified. This certification requires full diameters for both adjoining pieces of the gate-locking mechanism. In short, this is probably a fine rope for securing tools or equipment, but I wouldn't trust my life to it. And I wouldn't trust the carabiners at all due to obvious metal flaws and lack of documentation. ... show more

It's a nice rope; however, I wouldn't use it for climbing as I don't trust the tail ends. I would use it as a utility rope for many other things.

Quite surprised by the overall quality of this rope. Feels good in the hand and seems to take knots well. But that's where it ends as far as rope goes. My BlueWater static line seems much much better. The reason for my mediocre rating is because this is advertised as a climbing rope. That being said, I'm not too crazy about the basic heat shrink plastic and thin plastic thimbles used for the eyes. Both could be a little thicker or sturdier. The serving seems ok and is quite tight. The worst of it all are the two carabiners, they are garbage as far as climbing is concerned. Don't use them for climbing! So at best I will use this as a very nice extra rope for handy things and maybe in an emergency if desperate. Will absolutely not be using this as a dedicated climbing line. If I were to judge this on the aspect of climbing only, I would give no stars because of what I mentioned earlier. But I'm giving the rope itself the benefit of the doubt.....for now.... ... show more

The rope's 10-foot length is perfect for small climbs and as a backup. I'm not a fan of sewn loops as holds for carabiners, but these seem to be well-stitched and have no visible issues. The included carabiners are rock solid and will absolutely hold for any climbing and securing purposes. I would recommend this for hiking, low climbing, and tugging purposes. ... show more
