At first it wouldn't start/work and I thought about the negative reviews HOWEVER figured how to work it. After you put FRESH NEW batteries in 1. FLIP the silver toggle switch UP. 2. Gently pull the black pretend pull rope UP just a little and release. The saw should sound like a putter then will idle. 3. PRESS the Orange AND Black thingy on the handle to make saw sound and to make the chain move. Will not work with used batteries! Using it for my zombie scene........a little decapitating going on behind a see thru plastic bloody curtain!
