  • 💗 “The Toy That Turned Playtime Into Real Learning”
Color: Pink
I’m a mom of two girls, and like many moms, I’m always looking for toys that don’t just entertain them but also help them learn naturally. This pink Learning Resources cash register has been one of those rare finds that truly makes a difference. My daughters loved it from the moment they opened it. The “cha-ching” sound when the drawer pops open is their favorite part, and I love watching them use it to pretend they’re running a store, a café, or a little market at home. What I appreciate most is that while they’re playing, they’re actually practicing basic math, counting, simple addition, and money skills—without me having to force the learning. The set comes with 73 pieces, including life-size play bills, plastic coins, a pretend credit card, and an activity guide. This gives them tons of possibilities to create different scenarios and keeps them engaged for long periods of time. And since the calculator runs on solar power, I don’t have to deal with batteries at all. Over time, I noticed my girls started understanding the concept of money better, recognizing amounts, taking turns being the “cashier” or the “customer,” and even creating their own little systems—something that helps both their imagination and their social skills. If you’re looking for a toy that truly supports your child’s mental development while keeping playtime fun and meaningful, this cash register is a wonderful choice. In our home, it has become an essential tool for playful learning. ... show more

  • This cash register is timeless!
Color: Blue & Red
This is the third time I have purchased this item over the last 10 years for 4-year-olds. It is perfect for playing grocery store, and learning how to count money (although I replaced all the funky plastic coins with REAL coins). One 4-year-old wouldn’t let it out of her grasp and wanted to take it to BED with her!!! Since counting money is now taught in first grade, it’s a great head start for this age and can be used (along with the REAL built-in calculator) for at least until age 7-8. It is well built, very sturdy, has a note pad and pretend credit card, and has a wonderful *ding* sound when the register is opened! And the price hasn’t really changed in 10 years! It’s a great and FUN learning tool. The paper money is true sized. The only thing I don’t like are the thick plastic coins. I replaced them with real coins so learning how to “do the math” learning the names of the coins and the value of each one and eventually learning how to add the values together becomes an authentic experience. ... show more

  • Kids? Yourself? Just do it!

I mean, this thing is fabulous and top notch! Whether you get it for the kids, a garage sale, or both 🤣, you won't be disappointed!

  • Excellent teaching toy
Color: Blue & Red
My children are learning about money, and I purchased this to continue to support their learning through play. So far we have played "pet shop" and "bakery." They are learning how to use a calculator, count money, and make change through this toy. I will mention that it doesn't come with all that much play money - but the brand sells a larger set of play money, which we did purchase to go with it. The only con for me is that the beeps get a little annoying, but of course the kids enjoy the sound. ... show more

My 3 year old and 4 year old absolutely love this toy! They just grab things around the house to “sell” while they take turns being cashier and patron.
