I have a 38inch waist and I got the 2xl which was 36.75 inches and down. First day was so tight I wish I got my size since there are 3 more sets of hooks to go tighter. I only sit and stand in this, long distance walking hurts after a while. I have always had lower back pain with waist trainers because my butt is high. This short torso one is great, my should blades still feel a lil uncomfortable but my low back is good. It’s my 3rd day wearing it for 4 hours and it feels much more comfy (idk if my stretching it out or what) I’m very excited for results, this helped with a tiny tiny bit of bloating and hunger pains in 3 days. I’m 5’2 185 lbs, waist size 42 cm. I wear large in shirts but ordered Xl because reviews said to size up. I was able to fit the 3rd notch no problem, so I’m pretty sure I didn’t need to size up. May return for the large. On the size guide it said I’m a 3x so glad I didn’t go with that. I would say if really want to feel like it’s snatching you go with your shirt size. So I remember when waist trainers first popped on the scene years ago and I bought one. I wasn’t dedicated or couldn't stand the discomfort so I stopped wearing it. Fast forward to me starting my weight loss journey in January 2023. I immediately ordered this one because I’m only 5ft and the other waist trainers were too long for my torso so it always caused pain and discomfort around the top of my private area and under my boobs; so this short torso appealed to me. Now when I first got it I could barely get it on even tho I sized up( I usually wear a large but ordered a xl) like reviews said to. It must have taken me at least 10 minutes to struggle to latch the first row! I tried to wear it for 8 hours but I couldn’t take how tight it was and took it off at the 4 hour mark. I was so inconsistent with it so of course I saw no progress. I’m naturally a curvy shape so I just needed it to train my stomach to be flat( it’s NEVER been flat in my whole life). I decided to take it more serious in February and be more consistent. Once I wore it for at least 2 days it started to get more comfortable. I was able to wear it for 8 hours at work( I could have done the whole 12 hour shift with it on). Ive even done some household chores, errands, and taken naps( don’t sleep in it!) in it with little to no discomfort! I really started to notice some progress after wearing it for a week. I can even get it on way faster than I could when I first tried. It’s now March and I’ve moved to the third row of hooks and now I need to size down! I started at a 45/46( I can’t remember) inch waist and now I’m at a 39 inch waist( I’ve also been doing wood therapy 3 times a week before I put it on and that has helped tremendously too)! I do notice that you have to be consistent and wear it for 8-10 hours a day at least 6 days a week and incorporate clean and healthy eating, drink plenty of water, and exercise regularly to see any progress. It does roll down a tad bit at the top of the back and sides but it’s not a deal breaker at all. Make sure to wear a shirt under it as well because it could possibly irritate your skin. I also noticed I was itchy immediately after I took it off but it subsided in less than 5 minutes. Make sure to size up at least!     • Finally!! For Short Torso!!
Finally found a waist trainer for a SHORT torso. It is the perfect length for my mid section. It ends just under my boots (so no weird push up that gives the girls an on shape) and at the top of my hips. I can sit comfortably with this one. Others I had were too long so it hurt to sit (they would curl up, pinch and dig in). It does give me a fat back bubble, so I just wear it when I am home doing nothing, or with loose fitting clothing if I am going out. I put it right on my skin, I don't wear it on top of clothing (I'm not sure I'd be able to put it on over something since it is tight). There isn't much stretch to it.. it is a huge pain to put on since there isn't much give. I've also scared myself into thinking I am not going to get it off :O but that hasn't happened yet. So if you are in between sizes, I'd recommend sizing up. I got the one with a lot of bones in it, so that may be why there is less stretch. ... show more
