A great shaker cup for my overnight oats!

Review after living with the product for around a year 1. Seems to be of excellent quality, showing no signs of wear 2. The lid is SLIGHTLY difficult to open and close at first (after living with it for a brief time, it's perfectly okay though and you get used to it very quickly) 3. Because of the lid though... not exactly easy to open or close with one hand (maybe possible but I wouldn't plan on it)... I've adapted to just giving it a little slap on the top to close it (it also gives a nice audible snap when opening or closing, so you can be sure it is closed)... so two hands are needed but it opens and closes very fast ^I find this to be a non-issue, but I've seen people mention it....I open all my bottles with 2 hands so idk. it's faster than a spin top and I haven't had any leaks (for water/thinner liquids and preventing leaking during transport, I would feel safer with a spin top like a Nalgene. Never tried water in the helimix though, it could be okay but idk) 4. Doesn't leak at all! And I'm shaking this thing a ton, so if it was gonna leak, it would have started by now. 5. Great size for my use (if you plan to use it for water... that would depend on your preference and needs) 6. Fair price! 7. This thing BLENDS! I make overnight oats with peanut butter and whole milk......this thing liquifies everything and never gives me any issues (sometimes with my old shaker it would be very difficult to mix the oats with the PB/milk). I've even had to break out a spoon on my old shaker to poke at it so it would start mixing before, but just a few up and down swings with the helimix and it's all mixed and ready to go in the fridge for morning! (which of course....I still have to excessively shake the blend in the helimix just for good measure, but it's not needed) 8. Blends or mixes so easy that it actually saves me time! 9. You can see through the sides! 10. Measurements help you be consistent when you are making stuff in it (such as I always put my oats to the 10oz mark) Oh, and it's EASY to clean! The YETI Yonder Helimix shaker is awesome. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and the vortex design mixes pre workout really well without needing a separate shaker ball. It’s also much easier to clean than most shaker bottles I’ve used. The build quality feels great, and it doesn’t leak when the lid is secured properly. Best blender bottle on the market.

It’s a YETI! Very sturdy and durable like the rest of the product line! Bottle design is awesome. I like that it doesn’t need a mixer ball, as it’s one more thing to lose. It mixes perfectly with no clumps or residue whatsoever! It has a loop on the lid that makes it easy to carry around opened or closed! I saw some people complain that it was too hard to open but that just means you need more protein powder, right? I find it to be easy to open and close. Also the hard seal means it doesn’t leak. No chunks when blending is done

I got my blender in the Olive color. it's great. I like the military look. It is easy to load, blend and clean up. It doesn't leak when I blend it and there are no drips when I drink from it. Great Product. Use Both Thumbs To Easily Open!

This is the perfect shaker bottle, with a great design and no annoying shaker ball. I was glad to see that Yeti kept the original Helimix design because I already have one of those and love it. The tumbler is the same, but they *did* change the cap/lid just a bit. This cap IS harder to open, as I saw in reviews, but I decided to purchase it anyway. I figured I could always just unscrew the top and drink it that way if necessary. Turns out, I don't have to. Simply bring the tumbler with the cap facing you to your chest, place one thumb on each side of the cap, and push up. Voila! You have your excellent tumbler that closes securely --and now you know how to open it. I'm a woman, and can do it easily, so men should be able to. I don't care that I can't open it with one hand. Plus, I love that it's a secure closure. Another positive is that the top does NOT have one of those rubber or silicone gaskets. Many do, and they're notorious for falling out of the circular track, and being difficult to replace, especially when wet. That just proves that with a good lid design, they're unnecessary--and it IS all about the lid design because when those gaskets fall out, *the lids leak* if you don't replace them. The Helimix/Yeti *never* used the gaskets. You simply screw on the lid and the tumbler threads make it very easy. No leaks. One thing: Do your homework and measure for the size you want. I had the size advertised as 27 oz for the Helimix, and it's actually 20 oz. That happens to be the perfect size for my needs. When I ordered the Yeti, though, I measured the dimensions of the Helimix, and those ofthe Yeti 27 oz matched what I had and like. BTW, the markings on both the Helimix and Yeti only go up to 20 oz, *and that's what they hold when filled to that point*, so I don't know what's going on with Yeti's advertising, and Helimix 's before that. But just be aware that what's sold as 27 oz is actually a 20 oz tumbler. And if you order the 20 oz tumbler, be prepared for a 16 oz one lol. One more thing: As others have mentioned, it's easy to get a finger stuck in the cap "joint" when opening it. Just be aware of where your fingers are when doing that. ... show more

This is a cool design and works pretty well for thinner mixes such as preworkout or post workout/recovery mixes. It does not work that well for protein. I prefer to use milk with my BPN Blueberry Muffin protein powder and this bottle struggles a lot, as does every other bottle even with the shaker balls, but the standard shaker bottles don’t struggle as much as this one. I have to use a frother to help mix the milk, but with water and the same powder this bottle doesn’t get all the clumps out even after violently shaking for 4 minutes (I couldn’t keep going and ended my test, but I have gotten this exact protein powder to shake up cleanly in a standard issue 1qt canteen with a couple bolts in it as a makeshift shaker ball). But other than that, I really like this bottle for my preworkout and recovery mixes. I would like to note that I didn’t pay attention to the lid when I first opened it and crushed my finger because it’s a flat hard plastic lid that fits perfectly in the cut in the back of the lid, so when you open it it and it swing back it will crush anything in the way. It does seal very well, distinct clicking for the lid and it hold well. There was no odor from the beginning and still isn’t even after being lazy and leaving preworkout in it for 2 days before washing. The grip is odd with the corners of the bottle, when it sweats it’s slippery and I have thrown it while trying to shake it during my workout since the only texture on the bottle is the YETI logo and the liquid level markings, so if your grip gets too light when it’s wet it will go places. The shape of it can help to hold onto it since it gives you corners to get a grip of but wet is slick no matter what. The color is dope and it’s easy to see the liquid level but still slightly obscured the color of your drink but not the shade. So you can tell if it’s dark or light, but not the exact color. ... show more

Glad I purchased

Love this ! Wondering why I waited so long. I usually drink fair life shakes and any additions I add into the bottle after drinking it down a bit (benefiber and espresso powder), and I bought plastic mini spatulas to help mix. Now I wil be traveling and unable to do my usual thing, so I got protein single serving packs and this shaker. I have degenerative hand arthritis and was worried about gripping and seal. I’m a 5’4” lady and wear about a size 7 glove. Can barely do an octave on piano with one hand (for reference) The 20 oz fits pleasantly in my hand for shaking. I don’t have to do the shake weight up and down, flipping my wrist up and down is adequate. Also the flip top and screw on lid are tight without a grommet to worry about mold, the top is pretty streamlined so not worried about weird nooks and crannies I have to keep clean like some I’ve seen. The twist on top appears wide but I brace my fingers against the hinge piece for the flip top to tighten and loosen. The flip top is tight, but I put my fingers on one end and the base of my palm on the hinge area so I’m pushing and pulling at the same time. This does not hurt my fingers (like a lot of things do), and because the closing sound is a loud, definitive click, I am sure it’s closed once I’ve heard that and no leaking. The inside of the plastic is extra slick so after I drink it, I rinse right away with a small amount of soap and shaking it again. Everything rinses right out, no residual smell or anything. Haven’t had to put it in the dishwasher. So nice! ... show more
