Description

Tundra 35 CoolerMeet the original YETI the Tundra. This was our baby. Where it all started. Where we took our frustrations with cheap coolers and over- engineered the hell out of them. We ended up creating a whole new category of coolers with legendary toughness and famed ice retention. And now we make the rugged, all-purpose Tundra in enough sizes to fit any outdoor adventure. There’s a good bit of its DNA in all the other gear we make too, in the form of patented and envied innovations. We’re proud to see the Tundra has grown up to be the father of all coolers.NeverFail Hinge System: Two hinge pins and interlocking design prevent the hinge from ever breaking.T-Rex Lid Latches: Patented design uses heavy-duty rubber so you'll never see another busted latch.Certified Bear-Resistant FatWall Design: Extra-thick walls hold up to three inches of insulation for unmatched ice retention.ColdLock Gasket: A freezer-quality gasket circles the length of the lid to block out the heat and lock in the cold.LipGrip Handles Stay out of the way and make carrying your catch seem less of a chore.DoubleHaul Handles Made with military-grade polyester rope for extra durability.Rotomolded Construction: Makes it armored to the core and virtually indestructible.BearFoot Non-Slip Feet: Prevent sliding to keep your YETI in place.Vortex Drain System: Leakproof, rugged, and designed for quick and easy draining.PermaFrost Insulation: Pressure-injected commercial-grade polyurethane foam in the walls and lid makes sure your ice stays ice.InterLock Lid System: Creates a form-fitting barrier against the heat.AnchorPoint Tie-Down Slots: Molded tie-down slots for easy mounting to your boat, trailer, or truck bed.

  • "Get a Yeti" they said!
Color: Desert Tan
Well, we had to do it. We had to buy the Yeti. Everyone said they were one of the best coolers out there. "Get a Yeti" they said. So we did and this one was purchased on Warehouse Deals in "good, used condition" at a cheaper price so why not. We were so excited to become Yeti owners that we were unpatiently waiting for the brown Santa Claus to arrive and when he did we nearly tackled him to the ground to get the Yeti. We really didn't know what to expect from this as it's just very hard to pay such a high price for a cooler when we were convinced that we were just paying for all the hype of the brand name but... We were now Yeti owners! Here's where the good stuff comes in. We went camping for 5 days over Memorial Day weekend. Jeeping to be exact at the hot ass and sandy Haspin Acres in Indiana. We took food, alcohol and drinks to hold us over for 5 days. We also took a 52 quart Ozark Trail cooler from Wal-Mart (the tan one, Yeti knock off looking thing), another cheaper cooler from Wal-Mart, I think it's a Limited 55 quart (grey blue and black) and a white coleman basic cooler. We put all coolers in the freezer to pre-cool them before we filled them. Although we camped in a shady area, we had to repeatedly put ice in all coolers except for the Yeti. Over the 5 days we did add ice to it but it was also the only cooler that held the ice and didn't have a bunch of water in the bottom of it. At the end of our trip we emptied all contents out of all coolers except for the ice. The Yeti had more ice in it than all the others even though it was the smallest cooler of them all. Needless to say, if you are looking for a comparible cooler to the Yeti and don't want to pay the price, the $97 dollar grey Limited or Liftetime cooler we purchased from Wal-Mart came in a close second. The Ozark was okay and the Coleman was terrible. Now I don't think you need a Yeti for everything but if you need things to stay cold for a few days, you will spend less money on ice and ruint food in the long run if you just buy the Yeti. ... show more

  • Got our money back!
Color: Navy
I love Yeti. I have four tumblers and two coffee cups by Yeti. My wife bought me this. It is horrible. We went to the beach and before we went, we put ice in our new Yeti cooler and in our cheap soft side Costco purchased cooler ($24). Both coolers were in my van in the A/C. Upon arriving at the beach, no ice left in the Yeti, but the other was barely melted. Thought it must be a fluke...the lid did not get shut or something. So we tested it the next weekend. Put ice in three coolers, the same two as above and a Coleman 12 pack cooler from Walmart. The other two still had ice upon arriving at the beach which is less than a two hour drive. The Yeti had none. We returned it for a full refund. ... show more

  • Horrible nightmare customer service
Color: White
For $299 you get literally the worst customer Care on the planet. Received a defective leaking and misaligned cooler. They won’t even exchange. Returned and still no refund after 4 weeks. Warning !!!!! Better off buying a yeti sticker for your existing. cooler

  • Disappointed
Color: White
Hate to say I was let down. These are so hyped up I had high expectations. Bought this, pre cooled it, filled it halfway with block ice (which leaves practically no room for food or drinks) and headed out on a roadtrip. Realistic use, I opened it 2 or 3 times a day for less than 10 seconds at a time. It averaged 80 degrees during the day. My ice lasted less than 3 days! And the exterior of the cooler shows every little scratch and wear mark. For me, definitely not worth the price. I have the same size $7 Coleman that performs the same. Amazon honored the return process perfectly as usual. Yay Amazon! ... show more

  • All hype
Color: White
I expected this Yeti 35 to outperform my Coleman Xtreme cooler by Leaps and Bounds and it didn't. It only lasted 2-1/2 days versus my Coleman that lasted 34 hours. This was in the Arizona hot weather

  • Good small volume cooler for camping
Color: Desert Tan
Still experimenting with getting the right balance of ice and packs to ensure several days of cold. Works for a good 24-36 hours with no problem, but more than 36 and it all melts. This is a good volume for 2-3 days of camp meals, snacks, and drinks for two people - hoping to get to the point where we can eat out of it for three days without replacing the ice. ... show more
