There is a reason this is the best ice chest that I think you can purchase. We packed it with food and ice for a 10 hour road trip the night before we left. The ice was still good over 24 hours later. We left one bag of ice in the bag and then dumped more on top. I think one thing that helps is our food was cold when we put it in.     • Perfect for what I needed
My refrigerator/freezer went out and I was desperate to save the $30 of food that I had in there. So I purchased this expensive cooler. (I was going to buy the cooler anyway, but moved up the purchase date when the refrigerator quit.) This cooler is great and kept the ice from melting for several days. I know external temperature greatly affects the length of time ice can be kept in a cooler. I kept the cooler on the screened/glassed in porch which maintained a temperature of about 75 degrees. The ice lasted about a week actually. I love the lavender color, the easy of moving this beast of a cooler, and the fact it can be an impromptu seat. The lid latches shut keep the cold inside where it belongs. The bonus tray included is appreciated but wasn't useful at the time of purchase. This is a VERY heavy cooler when filled with ice and food, so be prepared. Overall I am happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Pricey but good cooler
Definitely keeps things cold, as expected. Very easy to roll and maneuver. My only compliant is I somehow manage to pinch my fingers regularly with the latches. Be careful! The cooler also doubles as a relatively comfy seat.

This cooler is outrageously expensive. But, it does keep cool. We used this cooler on two cross country trips and yes, the ice lasts for days. The drain port on the back is of high quality and so are the wheels. It's a little heave when loading into a vehicle but well work the weight when it keeps your drinks and other items cold. This cooler saved our camping trip!! We have had Yeti tumblers for years and love the way they consistently keep our drinks hot or cold for long periods of time. We decided to buy a Yeti Roadie cooler and tried it out on a 4 day camping trip with our travel trailer. We were going to use the cooler for our canned/bottled beverages. Unfortunately, the refrigerator in the trailer stopped working shortly after we arrived at the campsite. We were camping with family members, and they graciously offered the little room they had left in their fridge to store some of the food we had brought. The rest of the food would have to go in the Yeti cooler. Out went some of the beverages, and in went the food!! The cooler kept the food and beverages cold with very little ice melt for 4 days out in the 90+ degree temps!!! The Yeti brand may be a bit higher in price compared to other brands, but based on our experience with their products, they are worth it! ... show more

Perfect for what I wanted. Not too big, but big and deep enough! Love the wheels and telescoping handle. Came with a handy dry basket. Prechilled with ice, added ice blocks and cold items, things stayed cold for two days. Love this cooler.

    • Worth every cent
Heavy but rolls like a dream. I live at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and use it to transport groceries from Flagstaff. I shop the night before, and leave everything in the yeti overnight at the hotel, and then at the helicopter landing spot. Sometimes it takes 12+ hours of sitting up there before it’s flown down. Each time everything is still cold (or frozen) and it has held up beautifully even after being delivered by helicopter with hard landings.
