Best headphones I have ever owned and for many reasons! Sound quality is better than Bose and Sony units that cost twice as much. Feature rich including a hearing test to optimize sound individually in the right and left sides. Skullcandy App is easy to use, and the equalizer, bass boost and spatial sound features really work. I can hear things with clarity that I never heard before! The other problem I have had with Sony and Bose is construction quality; they are somewhat fragile. Again, I have owned Sony and Bose headphones, and they never seem to last more than 9 months to a year. The Aviator 900's are built like a tank and still very stylish. Incredible headphones, incredible sound and the bass is excellent. I purchase a new set of high quality headphones every few years. This is so far my favorite set. The fit, feel and options are the best I've seen. Great for music and gaming. The noise cancelling plus the stay aware options are great. You can actually amplify sounds like a set of firearm ear protection. The head tracking is a cool feature as well. When gaming, you can hear everything in all directions. In addition, these are some of the coolest looking headphones out there. The case is high quality and equally cool. Get this set, skull candy has come a long way over the years. Ts tuff son, it didn’t have the bass i was expecting but still fire tho. There like expensive earmuffs with crazy noise cancellations. And the clamp to your head perfectly. Very comfy too. Jus DONT lay down with them.

    • Inferior to a four-year-old headset in almost every way
Color: True Black
These headphones were marketed as being exclusively designed to be as comfortable for long wear as possible. Well, when they arrived, the first thing I noticed is that these headphones were about half the size of what I expected. On top of that, the adjustment band was quite tight, and ear cups do not even fit around my whole ear, being about half the size of the ear cups on my old JBL Quantum 800’s. Now I have a larger size head, and larger size ears, but, within two hours, I started to feel significant pain and pressure on my ears, regardless of any adjustments. This was a deal breaker immediately. My four-year-old JBL Quantum 800’s have given ZERO comfort issues, when I game for at least six hours a day, or more than twelve hours on weekends. I would not be able to do the same, specifically BECAUSE of these aviators being very uncomfortable. As for sound quality, the Aviators are once again completely inferior to a four-year-old headset that wasn’t even fully specialized towards music and comfort. The JBL quantum 800’s are on a whole other planet of sound quality. Where, with the aviators, after spending hours fiddling around with too many settings, and not enough presets, the sound quality still felt muddy, unbalanced, and not even half as good as a four-year-old gaming headset. Personalized sound did not help the issue, if anything, it made things worse. As for ANC functionality, I live next to the busiest street in town, with very thin walls, so ANC is a must for me. I find the ANC on these headphones to be inferior to a four-year-old headset as well. The Aviator ANC reduced the traffic noise to a white noise that isn’t there on the JBL’s. What’s worse, I could feel an impact on sound quality when switching the ANC on and off, when that doesn’t happen on the JBL’s either. Even compared to really old skullcandy headphones I’ve had, the Aviators have inferior comfort and sound quality to ancient Hesh models. I just don’t know what you all were thinking with these Aviators. Unless the majority of people just have a much smaller head and ears than me. The only thing these headphones have going for them is battery life, and that’s simply not enough for me on its own. I’d rather have everything else be amazing, and deal with a shorter battery life. I’m not awake for 60 hours, so sacrificing anything for a battery life more than my waking hours seems silly. I also found that the Aviators don’t turn off automatically when charging, which is actually extremely irritating, and a feature I took for granted on my JBL’s. Anyway, I will be returning these headphone promptly. I have a strong feeling that the much cheaper hesh model will not have as many of these issues. I’ll probably just keep on using my four-year-old gaming headset though. ... show more

The Aviator 900 ANCs are, overall, the best headphones I’ve ever used. They are well-constructed and feel very comfortable while using. The noise canceling is the best of any headphones I’ve used (as an autistic person that is a godsend), to the point that I need lower volumes generally, thus preserving my hearing. The UI is more-or-less intuitive as well. Skullcandy veterans may find the bass doesn’t get quite as forceful as with, say, Crusher ANC 2s, but it’s probably better for my ears that way.
