Has the heft and durability of a roto-molded cooler plus the added functionality. Have used in 120 degree Arizona dry heat and it still keeps the cold stuff cold like it’s supposed to. Not a cheap item, but you won't ever have to replace it. So think of all the cheaper coolers you buy over time. And the waste in landfills they take up. This is well worth it. This is perfect for our family of 3 and then some. I love that it's on wheels so I can roll it down to the street to the 4th of July parties. I get many envious looks as I pass by (our town swells to 200,000 for the holiday with the oldest parade in the nation, so the red is perfect!). I love that it's big enough to hold plenty, but not so big that I can't lift it filled, on my own, into the back of my car, Have I mentioned HOW SMOOTH the rolling is? Like butter smooth due to the hard wheels. Ice has stayed frozen in it for over a day, and when it does melt there's that nifty drainage plug at the bottom on the back. I have not bought a divider for the inside of it, but I could see that being wonderful to keep cans to one side and ice to the other. The basket is helpful to keep some things up higher you may not want touching ice (lemons with a paring knife and bottle opener, with fresh ice below). It's a great item. This is a solidly built cooler. The material, the telescope handle and the wheels are all solid. The cooler kept everything cold in our recent 4-day trip from South Florida to Northern Maine. The chemical ice packs remained solid at the end of our trip. We also put ice cubes in a couple of ZipLoc bags for additional chilling effect. We did replace the ice cubes every night in our hotels, as they melted a bit every day. It was not a problem because every floor in our hotels has an ice machine. ... show more

sturdy cooler for going lots of places. large wheels means it pulls easily when loaded. love the extended handle is sturdy, taller than the handles of other wheeled coolers we’ve had. Keeps ice a good 4 days.
