Worth the cost
This jug is awesome! I ordered the Tropical Pink, and it is a beautiful, bright color. I took cold water out of the fridge and poured it into the jug; put the lid on and let it sit for 24 hours on the kitchen counter. The jug is made of heavy material, and true to the quality of a YETI, the water was still cold 24 hours later- to me, that is worth the cost. I read that the jug (without the lid) is dishwasher safe, I also read that it is not recommended to place the jug in the in the freezer (which is OK to me because it keeps cold water cold). It has a handle that has a comfortable pad for carrying it (I take mine to the office daily) and the pad makes it non-slip, so it isn't hard to carry by the handle a long distance (for instance from the parking lot into an office building). If cost is a hinderance, I have found that the cost was worth it.

An Awesome Insulated Jug
Excellent water bottle. I found this will keep ice for up to 3 days. And even after that the water is freezing cold. Other reviews talk about the lid leaking but I have not had that issue at all the few weeks that I’ve had it although I can see where the issue stems from. If you don’t screw the lid on fully this will leak. (I mean the big lid with the handle not the magnetic cap) There are 2 minor issues I’ve had. The handle is awesome and comfortable when carrying from place to place but it does have a smell. Over the weeks of having it the smell has subsided but hasn’t gone away I’m sure with a few more washes in the dishwasher this will go away but a little disappointing to see at this price point. I also think that this is a little more versatile than the 64 oz rambler. You can put larger pieces of ice in this container than the rambler the handle (minus the smell) is better and the larger opening makes for easy cleaning. I’ve enjoyed this so much that I’ve been thinking about the full 1 gallon jug eventually in the future.

Indestructible
I LOVE HOW DURABLE THIS IS. It is huge, and strong, and heavy. It holds a good amount of ice water and stays cold for like 48 hours!! I use it on the ambulance working as an EMT and it's perfect. It's also really aesthetically pleasing. Super easy to clean and I love love love that the cap is magnetized so when you take it off it sticks to the lid so you don't lose it!

I use this to take my Berkey-filtered water to work every day. I fill it up the night before with some ice, and it stays cold for days. Usually I drink it all in one day, but a time or two it’s been left for 4+ days. Still cold, with no condensation and no leaks. Yes, it’s heavy, and the lid can be a little tricky to get off and on. But the handle helps with both issues, and it’s heavy because it’s well-insulated. Great purchase!

Super functional, worth the investment
I purchased this for both work and daily use as well as being able to add to my water supply for camping trips. I hate to be that person but I really can't stand tepid or room temperature water. I really need water to be super cold, and I need to stay on top of my water intake consistently throughout the day for health reasons. I chose to invest in this because of Yeti's reputation for longevity and insulation and I'm happy I did. I have a Yeti cooler that can keep ice for three days easy, and while this doesn't last quite as long it absolutely works. As long as I put a sufficient amount of ice in it to begin with it will stay ice cold for about 48 hours. It's great for keeping cold water refills in my car throughout the day, even in Texas heat. I've had it for over a month now and I use it every day. It cleans easily and the magnetized cap is super efficient. The handle is also comfortable to hold for long periods of time, I've used an igloo half gallon bottle before and the square plastic handle was super uncomfortable to hike with after a while. My only annoyance with it is taking off the lid sometimes. If you twist the cap on too tight it kind of vacuum seals which is great in one way because this thing does not leak AT ALL. It does however make it a pain to twist off because I have to hold it with my forearm against my body and just put all my strength to twist from the top of the handle to break that seal. It's nothing detrimental to it's use and I'm sure it's just exasperated due to my size and strength, but I will say if you have very little grip strength in general this might not be the best purchase for you.

Only a month ago I was cursing the cheap purple container in which I decanted my freshly brewed french press. It's poorly insulated walls taunted me as the heat of my liquid relief effortlessly escaped its grasp. I had only minutes until my hard earned nectar was too cold to enjoy, forcing me to resort to my last desperate option, the microwave. Every morning I would live like this; on the clock, pressure on, drink up and move on, no time to enjoy my efforts. In a Roman bar this would be perfectly acceptable, culturally appropriate and downright expected. Speed is key there but not here. Not here in my own home where taking my time is a luxury I have worked hard for. I craved that luxury each morning but was robbed every time, until now... I remember the morning I first used my Yeti Rambler like it was yesterday. The sun lit up my kitchen like a European Cathedral, and even the birds outside seemed exuberant. It was a frigid Tuesday morning and I slowly poured my freshly brewed golden nectar into the huge mouth of the half gallon jug. Not a drop was sacrificed. Coffee danced around the interior of that container and I shared in it's excitement. I danced, my dog danced, we all danced. Our moment had finally come. I poured myself a cup from the Yeti's spout then sealed her shut. Hours and hours later I'd forgotten I'd even left coffee in there. A fool I am, but a fool the Yeti is not. To my amazement, the liquid inside was still steaming hot. Could this be real? Are my eyes deceiving me? For a moment I stood with my hands on the counter and stared out of the window. My whole life until now was thrown into question. Tears rolled down my face as my dog began to howl in disbelief. We were both in awe of this witchcraft. Anyway, buy this thing if you like hot liquid. It's great.
