I have two of these in the 51oz size. They are perfect for making cold tea. I usually use a mixture of teas (green, ginger herb, rooibos, etc). After pouring the boiling water over my tea bag in the pitcher, it seems to cool to room temperature in an hour or so. I always wait till cool before placing it in the refrigerator. Even though this is made of borosilicate, a shock temperature change will crack any glass. This can withstand both very high and very low temperatures — but it cannot go quickly from one to the other as a few reviews have alluded to and experienced cracking (of course). By the way, one of my pitchers was purchased 2 years ago and is still like new!.

This glass pitcher is exactly what I needed for my kitchen. It looks elegant and feels very sturdy. It holds a good amount of liquid, perfect for iced tea, juice, or just cold water. The heat-resistant glass is a plus since I can pour hot tea directly into it without worrying about cracks. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the lid fits well to prevent spills. Cleaning is super easy, thanks to the long-handled brush that comes with it. However, the lid could be a bit tighter to ensure a completely leak-proof experience. Also, the spout could be slightly better designed for smoother pouring. Overall, it's a great quality pitcher for the price, and I would definitly recomend it to anyone looking for a versatile glass carafe!

This is a great pitcher with thick glass and sturdy build. It is the 2nd similar pitcher I owned. The first one was broken as the glass was too thin. But this one is sturdy enough for everyday use. The stainless steel cover is not only beautiful, but also has a silicon seal inside which seals the liquid inside perfectly to avoid spill. The size is good for fit into the fridge and big enough for a small party. I am using it every day and love it so far.

I bought 2 different shapes of this pitcher from this company and both of them look very nice, however, they both leak when pouring. My guess is that since these are glass, the measurements of the spout are not as exact as the machined metal lid. The gasket is meant to compensate for that imperfect spout measurement, however the lid isn't deep/tall enough. The result is that some lids will work with some pitchers and some will be off by just enough to leak. It is a shame they leak because they look nice. If the company offered an alternative lid as that would increase my rating. Also, if the company offered a protective silicon bottom that would make this pitcher even better.

I absolutely love the SUSTEAS 2.0 Liter glass pitcher! It’s an elegant and practical addition to my kitchen.
