This is my second Yeti, the first was a birthday gift. After owning that I had to get another, but smaller size. This one is like 15 ounce or so with a mag slider. The mag slider is improved over the old style, makes cleaning much easier! It’s not as leak resistant as the old style because now you only have the top magnet stopping liquids. The old style had a piece on the inside and outside. More protection but more tiny spaces to collect junk. It was a fair trade off I think. The mug itself is great, nice solid feel, holds up really well to the vigors of daily use. This is “my” cup, so I often just clean and reuse for whatever Im drinking, makes no difference. The other thing I’ve noticed is that it does not seem to keep my coffee as hot as long as my old one. The lid on these newer ones seem a bit thinner on the plastic. Not a lot, but enough so I noticed. Between that and just one layer for the lock, I think it’s not as heat holding friendly as the older style lids. Now cold is another story, it keeps stuff cold a long time, I have no complaints there. Overall this is a killer mug. I love my Yeti mugs and Im sure I’ll be buying more for myself and my family. These are well worth the money spent and hold up really well.

The rambler came early today. It was supposed to be stainless steel, but in fact is ceramic. Will have to see if this is as good as the stainless steel in keeping drinks hot. After using the ceramic version it kept my tea just as hot, and as long as the stainless steel. Love the size of the mug and Yeti products are great.

I bought the YETI Rambler 14 oz Stackable Mug, Vacuum Insulated for my husband for Christmas, and it has been one of his favorite gifts. The appearance is sleek and modern with that classic YETI look that feels both rugged and polished. The finish looks high quality and still holds up great with daily use. The stainless steel material feels extremely durable and well made without being overly heavy. It keeps drinks hot for a long time and cold drinks icy for hours, which makes it useful year-round. My husband says coffee tastes fresh longer in this mug compared to regular cups, and it doesn’t leave behind any strange metallic taste. We’ve also used it for more than just coffee. It works great for hot chocolate, soup, tea, cold drinks, and even ice cream on movie nights, so the versatility is a huge plus. The 14oz Yeti Rambler mug can easily fit the contents of a 12oz soda can plus ice with room for the cover. It keeps my cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot for longer periods of time than a typical coffee mug. I like using this because of its wide footprint which makes it very stable. I previously used a tall, slimmer insulated tumbler; but it was more easily tipped over on my crowded desk. Be warned though - this Yeti mug is NOT leak proof. So if you accidentally knock this the mug over, some liquid will come out. (A few drops may leak from the latch when it is spilled). The handle is very comfortable, and it is designed to prevent condensation - so there is no need for coasters. The cover has a sliding magnetic latch which feels really smooth and satisfying. All the parts are dishwasher safe, easy to disassemble, and free of BPA. The only real drawback is its higher cost. You could get a similar product at a more affordable price. But if you’re willing to pay for the Yeti brand name, I would highly recommend this mug.

I bought one of these mugs to keep my morning coffee hot when my microwave died and I was waiting to replace it. It works so well that I bought a few more in other colors and I continue to use it every day. It comes in beautiful colors and keeps my coffee hot for hours (as long as you keep the magslider lid closed). It’s expensive but I felt it was worth the cost since it works so well. I prefer a cup with a handle (like a real cup instead of the travel version) so this is perfect for me. As a side benefit I am drinking less coffee since it stays hot and I need to sip it, which is good because I was tending to drink too much coffee before.

As you can see from the first picture, I wanted to test a few different styles of Yeti and against a cheap substitute. I wanted to supersize my morning coffee & choose this 14 oz Yeti mug. Yes, it does take 14oz of coffee with room to fit the lid on it. The Yeti is superior in build quality than the Sunwill. But ergonomically, I like the size of the 10oz Yeti. Instead of gaining the extra 4oz from height, Yeti gained it in width, as in 100% of the 4oz. This made the cup unwieldy and awkward to transport, and I was uncomfortable lifting it in front of my laptop. The handle of the 10oz Yeti fits the fingers better than the Sunwill, (wider and more material used) making transport from coffee pot or room to room more comfortable. As for the temperature test. Once again, all the Yetis are superior. But how much is what matters. For the first hour the heat retention is identical (nearly), and then after that who cares if the Yeti keeps it hotter longer? It is already too low temp for coffee. As for the lids? IF you want a tight no leak fit. Get a YETi! For me, the 14oz model is just unwieldy. Some people are Oakley ~ Nike people and some people DGAF about brand image. I decided to pay half as much and keep the Sunwill as I DGAF. Just my Joepinion. For me, close enough is the same. Obviously, you are a different person with different wants and needs, and I hope I gave you the ability to make a wise choice for yourself. Aloha Joe Jr. As for the 3 ramblers I tested (missing is the BJPKPK 30oz rambler, it was too big for my hand but if you are a large person might be great for you). The Yeti is superior in build quality and ergonomics. It is more comfortable and fits the hand better (mine anyway). From the pictures you can see that the Yeti can be used with a straw or sans lid. Not so with the Sursip. I barely use a straw and the Sursip came with two as it came with two lids. My dad has the Yeti and was crushed when he lost his straw and found that Yeti makes getting a replacement cost prohibitive. As for the straw itself, the Yeti is larger and better in every way. My dad also had to buy a cleaning wire for his Yeti. The Sursip comes with one. As for the temperature test. Once again, all the Yetis are superior. But how much is what matters. For the first few hours they are nearly identical, and then after that the Yeti is again far superior at keeping liquids colder for longer. But, if you left them both out with liquid and ice overnight, they both will still have cold liquid in ice come morning. As for the lids? IF you want a tight no leak fit. Get a YETi!
