Whether tucked in the saddlebag of my trusty steed or being tossed about by the unpredictable Baja winds, the bag maintained its form, keeping my meals and drinks insulated and intact. The tight seals made sure that no dust or sand crept in, which is a godsend when you're miles away from the nearest clean water source.     • Love this 'lunch sack'...

I'm loving this thing more and more every day. Initially, however, I wasn't so sure. Some of the complaints about size and not keeping things cold had me a little worried. What I would say is this. If you are looking for something to take a lunch to work (i.e. a lunch sack), where the Daytrip will sit in a mostly controlled environment but not a refrigerator, then this works great. I pack my lunch the night before, put into the refrigerator with a 2lb Yeti ice, take it out at 6am and go to work. At noon, my lunch is still cold and the Yeti ice is still about half frozen. After eating, I close up and when I get home at about 5pm, the Yeti ice still has a little slush in it. So this works perfectly for my routine. If you work outdoors in the heat and the Daytrip will be sitting out in the sun, then this probably isn't for you. In that case, you should be looking for a cooler (maybe a Flip 8). As for size, if you are trying to take two meals, drinks and snacks, yes, it is too small. If you are taking a meal with a drink and maybe some snacks, there is plenty of room if you give a little thought about how to pack (in other words, don't just throw everything in there). While the size does work, I would like to see Yeti make another model that is slightly larger to allow for lunch and a a couple drinks or multiple Tupperware containers, and has a pocket for silverware and napkins. nice, heavy feeling with good insulation inside. I have food containers that are 8 x 6.5 x 2.7 inches / 32 oz and this bag and can fit 2 with a flat ice pack between them and still close well. I like the hook closing because it allows the bag to have a little more give as opposed to zippers. If you store it in the fridge before you use it, the coolness lasts quite a while too. Probably paid way more than i should have but the color is really cute and this bag doesnt feel like its going to fall apart in a year. ... show more

My man travels a lot on the job and tends to tear through lunch boxes quite easily due to tossing them into the back of his work van and subsequently crunching them beneath ladders, tool boxes, spools of wire, etc. I spent the extra $$ on this product in the hopes that it would last longer than the average $30 lunch box AND IT HAS!! :D Very high quality, easy to clean, stays cold inside all day when you add the Yeti ice pack, and most importantly puts up with constant daily use. Nice to have but I would consider it a luxury item due to the cost. Quality is important but at that price you can just buy one at Walmart or Amazon at 3-4 times price reduction if not more. I bought one and it will last for a good while. I take it on my trips to Yosemite National park. I bought a carabiner to lock in the bag as it doesn't function well when you add larger items which defeats the purpose of the size of the bag. ... show more
