Unit arrived fast, unit needs 100% assembled , unit is heavy . directions had some questionable areas as they all do. Directions are 90% clear . Tool for assy is included but have a hammer and a philllips screw driver ready . Ive built dozens of furniture over the yrs and would rate assy as intermediate . Unit is sturdy . I would recommend using elmers glue on the wood pegs . The firebox is already assembled just needs mounting brackets put on and it slides in easy from the back. Fire has a nice Rich looking flame . We dont plan on using the heat mode so have no idea how well it heats because the efficiency is too low on these types of heaters . They are like using a hair dryer to heat with . ... show more

I would rate it zero stars if I could. This is the worst piece of furniture and worst set of instructions I have ever experienced in my life. I’ve put together side tables, entertainment stands, etc. But this??? This fireplace entertainment stand will make you question your sanity. I don’t know how people are building this in 2 hours, especially when the instructions are unclear. The bottom of each door sticks out more than the top. The cam bolts are so hard to put in. The FIREPLACE’S HOLES DON’T EVEN ALIGN WITH THE STAND. I got so angry and frustrated that I pulled a power drill out and just screwed it in. I no longer cared at that point. The fireplace instructions are laughable at best. “All you need is a screwdriver.” THAT’S A LIE. Who needs fire and brimstone “down below” when you can just be sentenced to putting this thing together over & over. BUY SOMETHING ELSE! ... show more

for starters, the fireplace and the stand parts arrived in separate packages as advertised. all pieces arrived except the nails to mount the fireplace into the Tv stand, but we improvised with other screws we have. as far as botched parts- a screw was missing ridges and was more like a nail, another metal furniture connector that is used with the cam-locks had no philips head on it, and a corner of the metal fireplace was bent and scratched. my husband and i assembled it together and it took 2 hours.. definitely recommend a drill. overall it looks as advertised, the fireplace works the way it should, and it is heavy. during assembly, all parts were labeled and the instructions were fairly easy to follow (just make sure you pay attention). i knocked two stars off for the botched and missing parts, but thankfully that didn't hinder our ability to put it together. not sure if i would recommend but i also don't think it's a bad purchase. ... show more

I love it!!! Yes, it took two people at the end to put it together and it took a while. But it is perfect and beautiful. However, I have it under my TV and I only have a cable box and Apple TV box plugged in at the time and that was two much on my outlet for the heater to run. I can still run the lights to look like a log fire, but not the heater part. I need to have another outlet run for that. But that is OK. I was just going to have it for some extra, not really needed.
