I used one of these when I was in rehab after breaking my leg. I needed arm strength for walking with one of those silver walkers cuz I couldn’t put even the slightest bit of weight on my leg for 4 months. I had to hop with that walker. Not easy for a large disabled person. I used some exercise machines in rehab as well as these. I don’t have any kind of arm strengthening equipment at home so this was a good start. The weight is evenly distributed through the whole bar not just the ends. The whole bar is padded and is big enough to make it easy to hold but not too big, grip feels secure. The only negative is I believe the one I received was used because it had prints or hand smudges all over it but I wiped it down with some disinfecting wipes, it dried quickly and was good as new.
