60x80 blanket I ordered measured out to be 52x74. Returned the first blanket assuming the wrong size was sent. When I received it a 2nd time I realized the description isn't accurate! Looks ridiculous on a king size bed! Looks like it would fit a twin bed at best.

What a weird product. First night using it I stayed in bed all night for the first time in years. It kind of hurt the first night - 15 lbs of blanket feels easily double that. But sleeping an entire night? Unprecedented. I bought the duvet cover and place the blanket directly over the top sheet. Strangely not hot too (Dec - Jan). My quality of sleep is vastly improved. It's washable, ceramic beads, but I have not tried yet. I thought the bead pockets were too large but they seem to be fine. I think it improves sleep by preventing movement, more of a reminder than a restraint. Start to flop and the weight resists. Body gives up and goes on sleeping. ... show more

    • Love the weight but wait for a sale price.
I love the weight of the blanket. There was no smell at all to mine. It is soft but not silky smooth as it looks like in the picture. It is smaller than expected i got the "twin" and would definitely not cover the whole bed. After 3 days I did get a small tear in the seam and got glass beads in my bed. But to be fair I did a lot of tugging and pulling on this blanket. If i had paid $100 or more I would be very upset and returned it but since i got it on a early black friday sale. I just sewed the hole up and moved on. I do sleep better with it and will continue to use it. I do suggest buying the cover for easier cleaning would not want to put the blanket in my washer. Update Feb. 15th 2019 have NOT had any more seams pop open and still use every night and love it. I did make a cover for it ... show more

    • It has helped my sleep
I bought this product as I thought it would mimick the sensation of of being hugged or held. For me, it does not feel that way. If just feels like a heavy blanked. I had used this blanked every night for about a week or two, and then one night forgot it on the coach. That night I did notice a big difference, I did not sleep as soundly and I missed the feeling of the blanked. So I have noticed that it improves my sleep quality. I am 160 lbs and 5'9, and I got the 15 lb blanket. I did notice that someone commented they noticed it increased their blood pressure, which is a bit alarming. I do not have high BP, nor do I routinely check it, so I cannot comment on that fact. I would recommend this for anyone who had difficulty sleeping. ... show more

Loved this blanket, but the 17lbs was too heavy for me. The 10 percent rule is subjective. I went down to a 12 lbs and finding it more agreeable. Might even go down to a 10 lb. But this is a quality made blanket. Soft, quiet cotton material outside and not bulky batting. These have a thin batting in them to help the glass beads not shift around too much. I think this would be good for summer sleeping. Don't worry about beads shifting to the seams. Principle is like a sock filled with rice. Put it over your leg and the rice will seperate to each side of the sock. There will be no rice in the middle, but it will be pulling it down onto the leg creating pressure. So the beads do not have to be evenly distributed in the pockets. I paid $65 for it from Amazon. Wish they had it in the 12lbs. ... show more

The size I choose actually fits my queen size bed, the beads inside feel like what’s in their picture, it didn’t fall apart being washed on ultra-handwash in the washer and hung up, and the whole thing feels solidly made. I’ll update if anything bad happens in the future.
