The jacket is a slippery smooth coating that easily slides along the ground so its easy to maneuver around and it is also flexible so it lays flat. These extensions cords are well made. In addition, the female end of the extension cords lights up when there is power in the extension cord. This is quite helpful. I have now bought these extension cords twice. Would buy them again.

I bought this knowing it was going to get beat up by usage over the next few months. The outer shield feels tough, I like the fact that it lights up when energized. The ends are sturdy hard plastic and seal well. As far as flexibility, it seems to have a coil memory from shipping, but I think that will eventually flatten out with more use. My review is one week of daily use on a backyard job site (power tools) so far no complaints, and I feel it was good value for the price. Hope this helps. ... show more

    • Buy a little heavier one, because this still gets warm in use. it's 14 gauge buy a 12 gauge instead.
