After a lot of time figuring it out and mounting it, it turned OK. You might need a person to help to speed up the process. The instructions are fair but could be much better. The chair seat turned out to be a bit lower than I expected (particularly for some one with a bit of a lower back problem), and it might be uncomfortable for taller people. My wife is petite and complained that the edge of the seat should be more round to accommodate the back of her knees. The cup holders are not totally retractable in neither side. It seems sturdy, but I still can't say anything about durability and quality after being exposed to the sun for some time. Important: this is not a chair to easily move around as it is heavy; it is meant to stay in a place and two people are needed to move it.

High quality and sturdy for sure. The adjustment is great and the only way to go with this style. Comes complete with all the tools needed to assemble and it goes together perfectly and easy if you follow the directions. Any reviews that say it doesn’t or it won’t fold easy then they didn’t put the washers in between the parts like it says in the directions. It took maybe 20 minutes to put together taking my time. The plastic wood is so much nicer than real wood and the color is great, I got the light blue that looks like a vintage or weathered teal (nothing bright or obnoxious). I like them, sure you will too.

I purchased two of these chairs. The first one took me about 45 minutes to build. That’s including getting everything together. The second one took me about 20 minutes. You’ll have plenty of space on the open box to build. No need for a blanket. I recommend pulling the stickers off as you go. Once you’re sure you have the right part, take that sticker off. The directions were very easy to follow. Just save a bit of time. I did use a drill for the Allen screws. It didn’t save that much time but a better Allen wrench than they give you is recommended. Same thing for the Phillip screwdriver. The one I give you would work, but it’s a little cumbersome. The wrench they give you works fine and I did use that. Everything was packed very well and I didn’t notice any blemishes really. A few tips when you’re building. Remove the stickers as you go as I mentioned. Pay attention to the correct orientation on some parts as they have a recessed hole for the self tapping screws. Pay attention to the directions when it comes to washer installation. The washer goes between items as the well laid out instructions indicate. Personally, I’m not a big fan of Adirondack chairs. They just don’t fit my back correctly, but that’s just me. But these look and feel just like any Adirondack chair. I’ve sat an expensive ones that were five times the price and they feel the same. This one is a good value. We’ll see how it holds up in the hot Texas sun.
