I recently tried out the Grow Sponges and while I have some mixed feelings about the product, overall it was a decent experience. The sponge material seemed durable enough, but unfortunately, it did not work well for the specific approach I had in mind. I also found that they weren't as reliable as some other similar products on the market, such as the Rapid Rooter brand pods. One thing that did give me pause was that it's hard to say how well the Grow Sponges will really perform when used as recommended by the manufacturer. I tried a few different methods of using them and had varying degrees of success, but I think they could work well for certain applications. If you're looking for a versatile option for starting seeds or cuttings, it may be worth giving them a try. Overall, I think the Grow Sponges are a decent option for starting plants, but they may not be the best fit for everyone. If you're looking for a reliable and foolproof method of germination, it might be worth considering some other options. I bought these for the aero garden. They are not as good as the ones miracle garden makes, but they get the job done. A lot of them started growing mold. Maybe a dash of cinnamon would help? I haven’t tried yet.

The plastic domes don't stay on. They're constantly lifting off and I have to re-set them several times a day. First seeds I planted in the pods never grew. Trying a second go around and hoping they germinate this time.

Everything that was listed to come with this item came with this item so not sure why someone would say they gave one less star because it did not come with plant food when it is not listed to come with plant food but to each their own about entitled complaining. They worked exactly as well as the name brand for my aero-garden and did the exact same job for a fraction of the price for the amount received. Will buy again. ... show more

These worked like they are supposed to. I planted basil and cilantro but the cilantro did not sprout. I think the seeds are old. I'll try again in the future.
