  • Great Second Guitar!
Size: 3/4 Size
PRETTY VERY CUTE I am 5’1 and it may be a bit big for me but still okay size It sounds AWESOME I love it And its very easy to play Comparing to my first guitar which was very cheap($50), it’s far more superior. So far, after 294 throws across the room, no scratches. My second guitar, I love it so much No complaints whatsoever Looks very pretty I love the color it looks old but in a good way ... show more

  • Good guitar for younger kids who show an interest in guitars and music.
Size: 1/2 Size
I am a self-taught, okay campfire guitar player. I often play guitar for my grandson who is 4 years old. He has shown interest in strumming my guitar every time I get it out and play for him. I wanted him to have his own guitar that would be more suitable for a smaller child. This fits the bill. It's a good size for him. This is not a guitar for an adult. I found it very difficult to play, but then again I'm only an average player so maybe that's why I struggled with it. And it seemed the tone was also not great even when properly tuned. But my main goal for this was to get my grandson involved with music and that meant getting him a guitar that he could start to learn notes and chords on and do it comfortably with a guitar his size. I know this will not be his forever guitar. It seems to be well made. It was easy to tune, but it went out of tune quickly. I expect that's because it has some nylon strings and they are brand new and stretch easily. Hopefully after using it for a period of time the guitar will stay in tune longer. I think it's a good value for the money. It's not real expensive, but it looks nice and is a good size for a child. Since it's not real expensive if the child decides to give up after some period of time then it's not a great loss. Who knows, maybe my grandson is the next Eddie Van Halen. :-) ... show more

  • Love love love it!
Size: 1/2 Size
I love the looks and feel of this guitar in my hands, very easy to play and push them strings down. I have a vintage Ventura acoustic guitar that my Dad bought me as a teen, it's hard for me to play , hard to press steel strings down, and the size is big. I have child size hands, and my fingers are smaller and shorter. This 1/2 size guitar is perfect for me! I spent an hour just playing on it, easy to tune and I love the sound. I tried an Enya carbon guitar and it was not for me, wasn't comfortable at all! This is my first Yamaha and I love it! There were a couple small perfections on finish but I don't care it's beautiful! I believe the model # is CGS102A and I got the 41" acoustic guitar padded gig bag by Faswin that came with a couple extras, it has a ton of pockets and very nice. I love this guitar, after a few decades I'm playing again! ... show more

  • Perfect for beginners, and super fun for those who aren’t!
Size: 3/4 Size
(3/4 size) Size is comparable to a Martin L1 back packer, fits perfect in the hands of my 6 year old child. The body width is a hair smaller than a regular playing card, and the neck width is smaller than a standard size classical guitar. I personally like smaller parlor size acoustic guitars, so I was drawn to this guitar for that reason along with the price tag. The playability of this instrument is really enjoyable, and is without any flaws I can see. This is a guitar that would make learning on a classical guitar easier, and will grow with you as you improve. Yamaha is a brand in musical instruments you can trust to make a good quality instrument just as much as squier or epiphone within lower end budget guitars. They also offer higher end models that are even comparable to the high end big dog names out there. This at the end of the day is a beautiful little guitar that will bring you great enjoyment for years to come. You can buy with 100% confidence that you are getting a great instrument. • Cheap and Arrived Damage, but I still Like
Size: 1/2 Size
The guitar is small and plays very well. Sounds good, too. I dock 2 stars. 1 because the strings it comes equipped with were oxidized on arrival, and have already started to unravel after only 2 weeks of casual playing (see photo). The other star because it arrived with cosmetic body damage (see photo). If you purchase this guitar, I would recommend two things: 1. Buy a new set of classical strings with it. 2. If you care very strongly about the aesthetics and finish of the guitar, consider looking elsewhere (although difficult to say if this damage occurred in shipping; I think not, because it was packaged well enough.) ... show more
