Description

The PSR-EW310 has everything you need in a starter keyboard, with 76 keys for the more serious piano beginner. With USB to HOST audio and MIDI connectivity, it's easy to expand the capabilities of your instrument by interfacing with creative or educational apps on your iOS device or computer. 11 Super Articulation Lite Voices (SALite), inherited from the powerful PSR-S models, are now included, which give you even greater expressive, real time, control (e.g. String Scratches/Guitar Slide noise), adding to the realism of the Voice. On-board lesson functions, including the new Touch Tutor, help to supplement regular piano lessons. For fun, plug in your portable music player to the AUX Input and use the melody suppressor to soften the lead vocal so you can sing and play along with your favorite tunes.

  • Great value, great sound......
Style: Previous Gen.
I am impressed with the PSR-EW 310, and in the Yamaha line in general. The speaker sound on this unit is excellent, and the keyboard is very good though it is non weighted. For me, it is a great standalone keyboard that I can use for practice and rough composing, and the plug it into my computer for MIDI use. The 76 keys offer a greater range of choice, and it is nice to have even if I rarely take advantage of them. At the time of purchase the pricing was within $20 of the 61 key model so it was an easy choice to make. There is a huge variety of sounds but I won't be using many of them. When it's time to get serious, I will be looking to use plugins on my DAW for many instruments, since the "synth" quality of many instruments is not acceptable on most keyboards. This is not a high end model, but I like the options and features , and at this stage I prefer to not be plugged into the computer all the time. At some point I may get a strictly midi keyboard, but this serves my purposes well....... ... show more

  • it’s a sweet deal!
Style: Previous Gen.
I’ve been jamming with the Yamaha PSREW310 for a bit, and it’s a solid starter keyboard. The 76 keys feel great for a beginner like me, and the touch sensitivity really brings out the dynamics. The AWM sampling makes everything sound legit—pianos, guitars, you name it. Smart Chord’s a lifesaver for quick, fancy chords, and the Super Articulation Lite Voices? So cool with that “Art” button trick. Only bummer is the built-in speakers can get a tad muddy at high volume, and it’s not super lightweight for gigging. Still, for the price, it’s a sweet deal! ... show more

  • Great sound quality and options for the price
Style: Previous Gen.
When I sought to buy a beginner piano, I wanted to get 88 keys and have them weighted keys. I knew Yamaha was a good brand, so I focused my search around that. While I'm happy with my purchase, there's a couple things to note about this model: The keys aren't weighted. It feels like there's almost no resistance when you play, which is OK unless you plan to play on real pianos in the future. The keyboard itself weighs almost nothing- this 4ish foot keyboard weighs less than 5 pounds, which is fantastic for taking it places or doing gigs. I don't remember seeing this in the advertisement when I bought it, but it's super light. It has a ton of features: it comes with like 600 preset sound modes so you can emulate all sorts of instruments or just make laser noises and car horns with your keyboard. It's definitely fun to take a practice break to try to play some funeral dirges on a church organ. Overall I'm very satisfied with this keyboard. Even though i wanted 88 keys, I'll settle for 76 until I can justify getting an 88 key yamaha for almost 3 times the price. ... show more

  • Quality of instrument is excellent!
Style: Previous Gen.
Just received this Yamaha keyboard at my doorstep today! After brief reading of manual, The first piece of music I played on it was Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I must say that the Yamaha company has truly exercised their ingenious capabilities of producing a truly fine instrument set forth not only for beginners but also use for stage presentations along with the right audio stage capabilities. I truly recommend this fine instrument unto beginners and accomplished musicians for a wide variety of sounds and capabilities. Thank you, Yamaha and thank you, Amazon for quick and reliable service ! 😀...*clm ... show more

  • Nice home keyboard
Style: Previous Gen.
I play the piano alot. I used to have a Roland 88 key that I loved but I bought it back in the 1980's and it finally wore out. We have this same Yamaha keyboard except 88 key at my church where I play it every Sunday. This one does really well except it doesn't seem to have the same deep sound that the 88 key has. Not sure why. That is really my own complaint. Since I bought this for my home I love that it saves on room, stays in tune all the time and is portable if I should need it to. The keys are touch sensitive like a regular piano. It has all the function keys but I haven't had time to play around with those yet. My biggest advice with any home keyboard is to make sure you have a quality monitor to plug into. I guess the speakers work on it but to me they always sound tinny and I plug straight into amplifier which boosts the sound. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to playing for many years. ... show more

  • upgraded to this (didn’t do much research this time) now that I know he’s serious about playing.
Style: Previous Gen.
The media could not be loaded. Bought this to replace Alesis melody maker 61 key (which got lost or stolen - who loses a 4’ long keyboard?). I put it on the same stand that came with the Alesis (works fine, not perfect though). Still has that ultra-light thin “cheap” plastic feel, but a definite upgrade - classier layout/buttons. Touch-sensitive - this is definitely an upgrade, sounds a lot more like a real piano. The music stand is actually useable and a lot more robust. A much better tool for the job for not that much more money than the Alesis, though I wasn’t looking to replace it. Just tried violin - wow honestly this makes beautiful sounds. A pro would want more I guess, but I assume a person could go pretty far in the is baby. A grateful person may never even want more idk Tempted to give 4 based on not really knowing much about competition, but seems like a solid piece ... show more

  • This is a nice keyboard. It’s a keeper!
Style: Previous Gen.
The media could not be loaded. This is the second keyboard that I purchased from Amazon. The first one I returned because it had a technical issue, so I decided to go with a trusted brand, Yamaha, and I am glad I did! Changing instrument sounds is easy to use. So far, I have not used any of the other functions, such as record, etc, but I am very satisfied with the product. Also, I did purchase headphones to practice without disturbing others and this function also works well. The piano is sturdy and also lightweight, which makes it practical because I have taken it outside of my home to lead worship in a small group setting. ... show more
