The unit assembled easily. The assembly instructions were less than stellar but not completely useless - and pretty much unnecessary in the first place. Bought it for occasional use with a Yamaha P-121 digital piano when traveling out of town. It is a great product for the price. Don't be discouraged by a number of reviews going back more than a decade, with the most recent one posted in March 2023, claiming that "it's not a Yamaha". Yes, it is a generic stand and does not bear the triple tuning forks logo of Yamaha anywhere on the product or packaging, but it is distributed by Yamaha as clearly stated on the box. Let’s be honest… you’re only looking at this one because you need a stand but don’t want to pay out the nose for it. It’s nothing fancy… holds up my Modal Argon8X just fine. The adjustable guards on top is a nice touch.

Sturdy stand holds a Yamaha Motif 7 no problem! Doesn't sway back and forth, steady. Easy to assemble comes with everything in the box you need to put it together. Definitely worth it and fast shipping. Wife likes it!

I bought this because I don't need anything heavy duty, and because it is supposedly a Yamaha product, which is usually fairly good quality. I haven't found any Yamaha labeling on it, but I am pleased with it's quality. It holds my keyboard with no problem and it's height adjustment works well. The two bars the keyboard sits on have a back stop piece, which is fine. However, it's not adjustable. The lower you adjust the stand the less relevance the back stops have, as they are locked in place. They should be made so that they can be turned to their most effective height regardless of the stand's adjustment. ... show more
