Delivery is sooner than expected. Guitar arrived in perfect condition. The wood is very well treated, dry and sound nicely after overall outside inspection. The strings are still intactly lose in its original conditions, will update about sound quality after Christmas.

I just started playing Guitar and after seaching around the internet i found this steal of a guitar. I paid 179.99 from amazon and it shipped free and seeing as im in Iraq thats awsome. Ayway the guitar is very easy to play action isnt to high and its easy to get a clean sound from, tunning is also no problem usualy the top two strings need to be a little tighter after sitting over night but thats about it. The tuner is very helpful and the dvd while not very exciting does have a great cord dictionary thats very helpful to me. Over all for the money i think this is a awsome package the only peice of the package that isnt awsome is the gig bag and at this price who cares the gig bag they give you is just that a bag no padding or anything of that sort. ... show more

As soon as I unboxed this guitar my mouth dropped open at how beautiful it is! I checked it over as other reviewers stated possible damage but it was double boxed and arrived perfectly. I also purchased a bone nut/saddle from Amazon which arrived the same day and was installed immediately since I was going to change the strings anyway. I can’t say how it sounded out of the box but with the bone nut/saddle and the solid top it sounds as good as some higher end guitars. Great purchase and highly recommend ... show more

    • Solid Guitar at an affordable price
You can buy this guitar in this set or by itself. Since the set was only a little more expensive, I went with it. I'm just learning how to play (after learning my basic chords on a friends acoustic guitar). Several of my talented friends were impressed with it prof ordnance (for the price) and were happy with its sound and how it stayed in tune. The extras in the set are nice by relatively cheap. The case is more of a dust cover, the strap is this and uncomfortable, but I received a high quality digital Yamaha tuner and the extra set of strings. Overall the set is worth the price. Any beginner will need to buy a real case and capo (consider a different strap) if you buy this set. ... show more

    • A nice guitar and a pretty good deal!
I was actually interested in buying something under $200. The deal seemed pretty good to me. So went with that. I got the guitar and it sounds really good. Along with the Yamaha FD01S it comes with a very nice digital electronic tuner, Gig bag, pics, extra strings, strap and an instructional DVD and with no shipping charges. One thing that I do notice is everyday when I play I see the tuning has changed a little bit. I see a variation of around +-20 decibels every other day. However, it could be because of room temperature variations or because of playing itself, so can't complain. I don't mind turning the knobs a little bit to re-tune it. ... show more

    • Beautiful sound and tone.
This guitar for the money is a great buy. The spruce top is flawless on this one and the setup and included items with this package are everything that the beginning guitarist, or the guitarist who wants a good sounding everyday player, needs.
