So, initially this review was mainly about the bad packaging, prior to "unboxing" the bike and putting it together. However, once all parts were accounted for and inspected for damage, I couldn't help to notice the lead warning sticker on the bicycle's frame. Now, through a little research I found out that the feds allow a max of 90 ppm of lead content in products meant for children. So, if 90ppm is considered "safe", why is there a warning on this kids bike?? Either the makers of this product are super nice and caring enough to tell consumers, "Hey all, although this bicycle's lead paint is within the safe parameters allowed by law" (debatable) "we just want to be nice and inform you it still has some lead in it, you know, we're nice people!" 🤣. Or, their sales strategy department thinks that by disclosing lead through a sticker can somehow help them off the hook dismissing consumers' claims by saying, "Well yes, there is still a safe amount of lead in kids products, everybody knows that!", and then hope the majority of consumers accept it, and settle behind closed doors with those that don't. After all, you can tell by looking at this product as a whole, they reduced the production cost by how poorly the bicycle is packaged, leading to scratches disturbing the lead paint that is supposed to be "safe" but they still warn you about... Hmm, yeah nothing to see here folks!! ... show more

I purchased this Yamaha 12” bike as a birthday gift for my 3yr old. Knowing that he would be super excited for it and how cool it looks. I assembled the bike and everything looked good and it got me excited to give it to him until I installed the front wheel and noticed that there is a missing/broken spoke. I have tried to contact the seller with no luck and work thru Amazon to get this sorted but the only option I get is to return the entire bike. All I need is a new front wheel. So this would totally be a 5star review if it wasn’t for being stuck on being able to get the front wheel sorted out. ... show more

I love the style of the bike, which is why I made the purchase for a NEW bike and PAID for a new bike. It appears every part of this bike is NOT new. Beware if you purchase this out any bike from them. Also, it is missing the reflector.

This is the second Yamaha kids bike I’ve bought, first was for my daughter a few years back and it was perfect. Easy to assemble and still cruising along with zero maintenance or repairs. So when I saw this one for sale, I knew that my rough and tumble nephew needed it. He’s hard on toys and it’s clear that Yamaha makes bikes with that in mind.
