I purchased a large fishing kayak with a pedal drive, but you also need to use the paddle when the water gets too shallow for the drop-down prop. I wanted a holder that would place the paddle out of the way, and this did the trick. It is sturdy, easy to install, and keep the paddle outside of the boat frame where you will not be constantly hitting it. This is a great product for gentle use. Not the best idea for running the devils river. Beat the tar out of mine and it failed on day 2 or 3 of running the devils river.
