this is a good product and works awesome but if you buy the combo you have to be able to assemble both products at the same time because the assembly instructions are for the individual pieces not the pieces being put together at the same time. so you will have to unassemble the pieces to put them together! ... show more

I love the idea of this mount and battery box, I bought both the cellblok and YakAttack Round Base Fish Finder Mount. Took me forever to put together because I had the worst directions ever made! I had to take the box apart several times when discover something later in the directions I have to install… also have parts/screws that have no idea what they are for. Maybe they should find a pro to write their directions for them… really bad. ... show more

The plastics used for this is super thick which makes it extremely stout when fully assembled. I love how it keeps my transducer wires neat. What really makes this special, is I could take the entire thing off and place it on another kayak in seconds or keep it off my kayak if I dont feel like taking my fish finder. This is the best solution for an "All in one" Kayak finder mount without drilling holes. I bought the YakAttack lock and load finder mount (FFP- 1005) for my Garmin Striker Vivid 4CV. With this product it's "One and Done". Now I can just take the entire finder, battery and transducer off my Old Town 106 Sportsman in one unit in seconds! This thing is basically a joke. The only reason I gave 2 stars is it technically does what it’s supposed to. The first problem is the front cover does not stay on because it is barely held in place by a tiny notch. The directions are basically non existent. No idea what screws to use or what way things face. It’s ludicrous. With enough trial and error you may get it together. The 2nd most crazy part is the mount for the fish finder. It’s a nightmare. But by far is the transducer arm. Holy smokes. Even if you have the hulk crank down the screws, the lower arm will eventually shake loose and god help you if you have a garmin. your transducer will get crooked if any pressure hits the front. They try to use rubber to make the transducer work and it just slips and is trash. If you hate a fellow fisherman, have him or her buy this. They will hate you for life. Glad this came early. Cancelled my blackpak and other orders. YakAttack needs to stick with Rod Holders. Update! I took it out on the water. Lower arm of transducer mount flew off at 2 MPH. Thankfully the cord kept it from sinking. Even when I tightened it to death like in the photo. It still flew off. So grab yourself some superglue or something. You’ll need it. Also crank down all the arms. They will get moved around by the slightest amount of water resistance. Update: I discovered YakAttack is suppressing bad reviews in their website. So 1 star and I hope no one trusts their products again. ... show more

I am adjusting my review after receiving my replacement unit. Assembly the second time went a bit smoother by keeping the cellblock and transducer parts separate. I still believe that the instructions leave much to be desired and you are forced to watch a YouTube video that was filmed vertically making it hard to see. I understand that companies try to make packaging as small as possible but I highly believe the transducer arm should come assembled as pinching it down to screw together is ridiculously hard. I love YakAttack products and run them almost exclusively such as their blackbox pro, bunkster cart, and many more but this is by far the most frustrating one to assemble. I’m glad this product exists and hope to get good use out of it but I’d like to see better instructions and less assembly needed. ... show more
