I bought this super tall cat tower for my cats as a way to give them a place to play, relax, and get away from our toddler and very large dog. I was kind of leery about ordering one online, as my cats are kind of on the larger side and I really wanted to make sure it would be sturdy enough. This was easy for me to assemble by myself and the (illustrated) directions were very clear and straightforward. It came with an Alan wrench that wasn’t a piece of crap and did not require any other tools. Once assembled, it was easy to move across my hardwood floor to where I wanted it by myself. The fabric feels really nice. It is a very soft, velvety, plush material, almost like a blanket, but on the back it is more durable. It comes with a strap for anchoring it to a wall if you want to. The design is great if you have more than one cat, as there are two perches, two houses, a basket, plus toys and areas for scratching. My cats can be kinda finicky and surprisingly, they are both loving it so far! So far it seems really sturdy, even if they launch themselves off of it. I’ll update if I run into any problems later on, but as of now this thing is really great and I’m so happy I chose it! ... show more

This cat tree is amazing! All the cats use it. It took a couple of weeks for any of them to get to the top, but now there is almost always a cat up there at some point. The cats love using it as a scratching post, and it's held up very well. This tree is huge and took me around an hour to assemble, but everything was labeled, and the instructions were not hard to follow. This was a gift, but I'm sure it was pretty pricey. If you can afford it, get this for your cats, and they will love you for it. ... show more

My cat is a small eight month old cat that likes jumping and performing acrobatics. She took to the tower immediately. The tower is sturdy, but not not rock solid. The perches on the single columns are plenty strong enough to hold a cat, but they do feel the least solid and my cat did not initially trust them. Stability It is quite tall and the base is not overly large . Consequently, it comes with a strap so that you can anchor it to a wall to prevent it from falling over. However, I can't imagine my cat (7 lbs) being able to generate enough force to cause it to rock, much less tip over. But I suppose a really large cat making a very powerful jump from the uppermost platform might be able to generate enough leverage to cause it to tip. If your cat is very large the perches will be too small. Overall was very impressed with what I received for my money. ... show more
