In general, I hate styrofoam because it always seems to get everywhere but when I unboxed the bed, the styrofoam chuncks were wrapped in plastic, so there where NO little pieces floating around anywhere. This was a minor detail that made me very happy. Another detail that goes above and beyond is having the slats for into molds that snap into the bed, rather than using nails or glue. I bought this bed for my daughter! OMG! What a great purchase! I got up on Saturday morning to put it together. FYI, it will take more than an hour like the directions suggest! Just make sure to go purchase a hex set from the hardware store. That little L shape thingy is the devil! Just wanna say every screw fit perfectly and assembly was exactly like the instructions stated. Oh and Kudos to the manufacturer for providing extra parts for the "just in case moments!" First time buying a bed on Amazon. After much research, I decided to give this a chance. I love it! It took me about 3 1/2 hours to build the entire bed by myself. It comes in two different packages. It was predicted To come May 4, but it actually arrived two days early, the first package on the 2nd and on the 3rd for the second. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. The outlets work well. The bed is stable. I did not have any issues with aligning the screws. I did get some difficulty with the drawers and screwing the wheels on but, I think that’s because I was just tired and over it by the end lol. I am disappointed about the height of the back board the image shows it to be a bit taller than in person but I also didn’t take a look at the measurement of the headboard, so it’s fine. I was more concern for the king size bed length and width to fit properly in my bedroom. All in all great product and I’m excited to finish furnishing our bedroom. I got this to transition my son from a twin to a queen bed. I wanted something that would look good, but was functional with storage. This fit the bill. I got this up the stairs (2 boxes) by sliding it and put it together by my self (I am a short middle aged woman who is handy). It was not hard. I will say that the drawer bottoms are not very sturdy. They are basically the same material as reusable grocery bags, and it was a bit challenging to attach the black on black wheels to the drawers also. My son loves it, and I love it too! ... show more
