  • Great table!!
Size: 47.5 x 23.5 x (19.5-24.5)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Rustic Brown
I have a 2nd smaller living room that I have a small love seat as the "couch" so everything is smaller in size. I had searched around for a lift top coffee table for a while and found that the really expensive versions online and at local furniture stores had tops that lifted far too high and would not be a comfortable sitting situation for eating or using my laptop while seated, at least for my love seats sitting height. Because I am OCD I always research things to the point I'm exhausted and many times decide after days/weeks of research that I probably don't need a particular item. I knew I wanted something for this room so I continued my research. I found this exact same table at another online vendor, they even used the same pictures as this vendor on Amazon, at double the price. I had almost ordered it from that vendor before I decided to try and see what Amazon had to offer. Initially I was hesitant because I thought perhaps the other vendor had a different manufacturer and possibly a better quality...but again, same pictures used on both sites. Granted, they did "technically" show a different manufacturers name but at this point I am thinking they are using the "middle mans" name instead of the actual manufacturers name. For those reviewers that complain the table is hard to put together and the directions are confusing....again, I am OCD.....but I laid all the parts out and marked them with sticky notes to make absolutely sure I didn't mess anything up. For the first part where the two smaller sides attach I did initially put them on the wrong direction.....but on the next step I realized that quickly after looking at the picture. So, solution for me was to go to the next step each time to look at the picture of what was coming up next to make sure I did the prior connections correctly. Upon taking that extra step it all went very smoothly. For those that say the holes did not line up, that is true if you don't follow the directions correctly and perhaps a part is on in the wrong direction. Like another reviewer I was able to complete the assembly of the whole table with no help whatsoever and in under 1.5 hours (I'm 57 year old woman). When it came to installing the top part with the springs I used couch cushions to hold the top in place while I installed the screws. The only minor challenge I encountered was installing one of the screws to hold the spring in place. The first spring I was able to lower it and it stayed while I installed said screw. With that confidence in mind I lowered the second spring but when I lightly touched it to install the screw in place that spring slammed back up by itself and cut my finger......lesson learned....be careful and trust nothing....kinda like people....LOL Now that the table is put together the springs work perfectly due to the weight of the table top. One reviewer said to use a drill to install....for me I felt that was not a wise choice. With press board materials one can over tighten any of those locking nuts and cause it to "wallow" out, for a lack of verbiage. It takes just a few seconds longer to do it manually but you can feel when it is tight and then you know it's time to stop turning. With a drill you may over tighten and then you can't fix that mistake. For those reviewers that talk about how cheap the material is and how it easily breaks.....and some even put pictures showing the ripped out portions of the materials. The material is fine/good......but when you're installing this type of product that is not "real" wood....but actually a press board, which is perfectly fine if you treat it right.....you have to get it right, turn the screw to lock it in place......but if you then twist the material after that locking head is in place.....then you're going to rip the material....so it's not really the materials fault as much as the installation process used. I'm sure the nay sayers of this table can find fault in anything they purchase.....especially if they are not doing something within the products capabilities. For me, this table was a lot of bang for the buck and I love it. If someone is seeking perfection, solid wood, top of the line then perhaps you need to go pay 10 times the price for another table. However, if you are capable of taking the time to put this table together correctly after thinking it through carefully...then you will end up with a nice piece of furniture that will work great for many years to come. ... show more

  • Assembly approx 30 minutes
Size: 41.1 x 19.5 x (19.2-24.6)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Black
Lift top coffee table took about 30 to 35 minutes to assemble. The assembly book pictures were helpful, but the biggest helpful thing about assembly is that every part has a numbered sticker. When you add the coffee table legs, be careful with the alignment of the numbered legs one of them will be eight one of them will be nine just follow the directions. As you can see in the picture, the left top table is approximately 24 inches off the floor for me. It is perfect because on our couch, my legs go right underneath the table perfectly in allows me to use my computer on the table top. Not bad for approximate $88. I made two modifications: 1) are use wood glue to glue in the wooden dowels to give it more stability 2) I added the felt tip nine scraping pads on the bottom of each leg so I did not ruin our hardwood floor. ... show more

  • Nice table, great value
Size: 47.5 x 23.5 x (19.5-24.5)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Grey
Nice table. Couple small surprises: it is heavy. If you are in the habit of sliding the coffee table around it will take getting used to. The second is that the first picture is a bit misleading. They have a laptop facing the open side of yet top, giving the impression that you can use it that way and see all the contents. You can’t. When the shelf is over your lap the view of the contents is from the other side of the table. Assembly tip: to put on the top by yourself tilt the table up on end then use a book to angle the top side of the base up up a bit, just enough to align with the hinge on the slightly larger top. That will allow you to place the hinge with minimal effort - just balance- then you can drive in all the screw hinges one side then flip. A hammer drill is also very useful for the hinge screws. ... show more

  • Really good value
Size: 41.1 x 19.5 x (19.2-24.6)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Black
Works pretty well and has been great so far. Generally very easy to assemble. Tricky part is at the very end when you have to attach the hinges to the top, and then the top to the rest. Be very careful when attaching the springs. They are very strong and it's very easy to hurt yourself. I was luckily fine. It's very helpful if you have a second person when putting the top on because it's very difficult to align the screws with holes otherwise. You can try using the styrofoam packaging that comes with it as spacers. The screws aren't too hard to reach, but still unpleasant. All that aside it's very sturdy. When opening or closing it can wobble a bit side to side, and at the very end of opening or closing, the hinges will snap into place. So be wary of spilling stuff on the table. Overall love the design! The compartments can fit the cloth box drawers you can get from the dollar store. I haven't used the covered storage area yet, but I'm glad it's available. You will need your own tools to assemble. Mainly philips. In terms of parts like screws, there was one extra of each. ... show more

  • Smaller than I thought but..
Size: 41.1 x 19.5 x (19.2-24.6)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Espresso
I had to have my husband put it together for me, and the top that comes up is a little wiggly. But, it is a very good table. Smaller than I thought it was going to be, but I’ve grown really fond of it. Storage under it, both the top and cube parts underneath it. It’s very easy to clean, very lightweight easy to pick up. Maybe it’s just how we put it together, but pulling it up it’s wiggly but still sturdy once it’s up all the way. ... show more

  • Beautiful piece for cheap money😎
Size: 47.5 x 23.5 x (19.5-24.5)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Espresso
All of the hardware and pieces are very well made. The directions have good drawings that made assembly fairly simple. The best advice for anyone who doesn't have experience with this type of assembly is to read everything over, identify all of the parts and hardware. Make notes for yourself and tag everything clearly. It's a real very well designed, piece!πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‘ ... show more

  • Really likes this coffee table!
Size: 41.1 x 19.5 x (19.2-24.6)’’ (LxWxH) Color: Espresso
I purchased this coffee table for my smaller living room and it is the perfect fit. It is built very sturdy, and the extra storage and lifting top is great. It is great for doing work in because the top raises to you and you can keep your supplies in the compartment as well. Assembling this product wasn't bad but it was time consuming it took me about 3 hours, would definately recommend having someone help you assemble the top of the coffee table. I really like this product and would definately recommend! ... show more
