The adhesive-based lamination on top is great for heat sensitive documents and creates a durable laminate that won’t peel, even if you trim through the document. A layer of permanent adhesive on the bottom offers a strong bond to most surfaces, letting you create custom stickers. The drop-in cartridges make it easy to refill in seconds. Just open the lid by pressing button, pull the old cartridge out, and use the built-in guides or adapter flap to drop a new one in place. Use a wide variety of materials, including photos, drawings, craft paper, die cuts, and more create personalized stickers. Our adhesive is non-toxic, acid-free, odorless, and is safe for you, your photos, and your projects. Cartridge contains 5" x 18' of adhesive. I bought this cartridge for making stickers for roller bottles. I needed a strong permanent adhesive that would stay on small extremely curved glass bottles with a laminated cover to keep essential oils from ruining the paper label. This cartridge fits that bill perfectly! I have several Xyron machines, this one fit the Creative Station Lite that I have. It was very easy to load, no wrinkles, no problems at all. I use this for many things, but it's perfect for sales tags because you also can't tear it off. It has to be cut or the item it's attached to would break first, like a chain, but it isn't stiff like plastic. NOTHING sticks to the laminate side including another peice of adhesive/laminate. Even permanent marker won't stay on it! You just have to trim the labels more exact and so they don't overlap if you're going to wrap it around an item.The laminate won't stick to itself for the same reason we use it, it's water resistant and repels oils, dirt, and other things. I wouldn't say waterproof because if things are soaked in water they would most likely peel after the edges begin to get wet. I'll have to test this! They will stay put on most applications and won't peel unless someone tries to peel it off (like people do on water or pop bottles). ... show more

Absolutely terrible and waste of money. I always have issues with the refills and was hoping it wouldn't happen again but it did. The two rolls are not lined up and the sticker paper gets jammed every single time. It's so frustrating. I wasted so much paper just trying to fix it. I did not end up using this as much as I thought i would. I am a freelance artist and was planning on making some magnets and stickers with my artwork on it to use a merchandise, however this did not yield "professional" enough results. It is also very wasteful as other reviews have mentioned. I would say this is a perfect thing to have if you only need it every once and while sort of thing, but not if your planning on making stickers/ magnets is large quantities. I have actually ended up using it a lot making magnets of pictures for my fridge and some stickers as gifts for my friends and family! I have been looking for a way to easily make water-proof labels for bottles that go in the shower for a while now. This is a relatively inexpensive solution without having to purchase the heavy-duty Xyron machines that cost way too much for home hobbies. Pros: Waterproof - so far, these are working out in the shower. I am not dunking the labels into a tub full of water, but they are getting quite wet. Thickness - the lamination is really thick and makes the label nice & stiff, which is much easier to work with, especially if your label is pretty big - they don't scunch up and wrinkle and stick on themselves and make a mess. Strong Adhesive Easy to push out any air bubbles Cons: Thickness - if you are making a small item & it needs to curve around something with texture or something with a curve, the adhesive tends to want to jump back up, so that the laminated item is flat again. Cloudiness - the laminated result is NOT clear. It is pretty cloudy. I had printed labels out on clear film & used this Xyron product to try to waterproof the labels and stick them on pump bottles. I don't know if it is the adhesive on the back, but there is definitely a noticeable light gray film on it. That cloud was enhanced by the fact that I used clear film on a clear bottle. If you are using items with a color, you wouldn't see the film on the parts of that there is paper; however, you'd still be able to see it on the edges, since you really need to leave at least an eighth of an inch margin from your paper to the edge of the lamination. I've included pictures so that you can see what I mean by the film. The first picture shows how clear the film is before I applied the Xyron. The second picture shows the cloudy film that is visible.
