i run a small sticker shop and this laminate works perfectly for me. i have no scratches, and no issues applying the laminate to the sticker paper! if you’re experienced with vinyl, then this stuff will be very familiar lol. it is thicker than vinyl, so it makes it easier to apply smoothly to any surface in my opinion. the thickness is a bit tricky to cut with my cricut though, i’ve found that the ‘non adhesive vinyl 20g’ setting with more pressure works best to cut all the way through the laminate and sticker paper for die cut stickers. i’ve also put my stickers to the test and they can be washed and submerged in water with no issues, and left out on the sun for days with no uv damage!! oh and it leaves a high gloss finish to my stickers which is a plus! i will be using this forever thank you lol ... show more

So, yeah, it's a bit tricky to work with at first, but after a few cuts, you'll have a system of your own down pat for the perfect coverage. Cut out enough to cover a sticker sheet, and start from one end as you SLOWLY unroll the clear sheet down the sticker page, while using your hand(s) to rub back and forth as you continue to unroll, in order to make sure no air bubbles or creases appear. When you cut a sheet of this, it will curl so be patient, and you will have a few failures along the way. Once a crease appears, there's no way backing out or correcting it, so each time you want to laminate your sticker sheet, you have one shot at it, so you need to be on target. Most times, air bubbles can be corrected while laying the sheet down, but once it's completely covered, it's becomes a lot more difficult to flatten these annoyances out. The whole process takes about 2 minutes. Once completely covered, just drop it into your cutting machine (I've been using my Cameo 4), and slice away (don't forget to increase your cut force/blade). I have mine set at Blade: 6, Force 33, speed 7. I haven't done kiss cuts yet, as I am only working with die cuts. After you punch out your stickers, behold the sheen, strength and ultra water proof-E-ness. For a test, I slapped standard glossy and matte "water-resistant" stickers on a glass, along side the same stickers covered with this VVivid laminate. Popped it into the washing machine. The result: The standard gloss sticker's were runny, while the matte's color completely washed out leaving a faint memory of what once was art. The stickers treated with VVivid were 100% perfect.     • Great Quality Thickness and Look!

This product is perfect for anyone starting a small business crafting stickers. Not only is the laminate thick and waterproof, but it gives a nice glossy look that really make the colors super VViVD as the brand name insinuates. I've also tried the satin finish that comes in a bigger roll and didn't like it as it's textured and not as clear. If you're looking for something that your customers will really notice and appreciate, this is a great addition to your sticker-making needs. There is one con I've found in the reviews and in personal experience that I was able to work around. It can get scratched very easily using a vinyl squeegee to apply. I tried everything including using felt covered squeegees but it still left scratches that just bugged me. My solution to this is to apply gently using a squeegee and then run it through a laminator on the heat setting. This will not only clear all the small bubbles and foggy look from not using a ton of pressure earlier to apply it, but also leave it coming out perfect. One side note is you don't want the laminator getting too hot as it will cause the laminate to bubble off the sticker paper. I avoid this by running my laminator for about 1 min 40 secs (max heat is 2 min) and then switching to the cold setting to keep it at that temp. Run your sticker paper with the laminate already applied through once and you'll be good to go. Hope this helps someone out there. ... show more

I ordered this laminate for vinyl stickers that I cut using a silhouette cameo 4. While the laminate itself works well, it's just extremely thick for my application. The laminate itself is 3mm thick, so when used with a sticker sheet, it makes the whole sheet around 4mm thick. If you have a die-cutting machine and blade that can handle this thickness, it would be an awesome laminate, but unfortunately my machine won't cut all the way through this stuff. (My bad, I should've read the listing more carefully) When used on small stickers, the thickness can make it tricky for the sticker to adhier on a curved surface. Applying the laminate is easy and straightforward, when done properly very minimal bubbles appear. I recommend starting at a corner and use a squeegee type blade to press down the laminate as you remove the backing. Ensure your blade doesn't scratch the laminate by putting down paper or covering the blade in a soft/smooth material. ... show more

I bought this product to cover up some stickers I printed on "weatherproof" sticker paper. The sticker paper did not hold up to the sun - within a couple of weeks, the stickers were badly faded. So, I figured I would reprint the stickers and cover them up with this product, which claims to be UV-resistant for up to 5 years. It has only been 3 weeks since I applied the stickers to my car, and they are already noticeably fading; not slightly fading, but NOTICEABLY fading. I'm giving it 3 stars because the film does appear to be of decent quality otherwise. It has a consistency similar to cell phone screen protectors. But the only reason I bought the product was for UV protection, and this product failed miserably in that regard. If the manufacturer claimed UV resistance for up to 5 weeks, the product still would have fallen short. ... show more
