This is pretty much the only laminate I use. Compared to the others available on the market it does have UV protection. It's not great on reds... But I've had stickers I made on my car for over a year that still look great. That's my test. It is super thick and gives a nice glossy finish easy to cut on a Silhouette Cameo. I sell stickers. Have had zero complaints with this vinyl. It goes on easy. No issues with bubbling and I mostly just use a squeegee to apply but I also have used it with my lamination machine.     • Cut to size, easy to apply, crystal clear, what's not to like?

I have been using Oraguard 236 laminate to cover replica machine labels for machines that I refurb, and while its a good product, it can be finicky to apply. I decided to try this and was very pleasantly surprised at its ease of installation, clarity and thickness. You can cut whatever size laminate you need, the backing peels super easy, and it squeegees down with few to no bubbles. Some of my machines end up working outdoors, so I have put out a comparison test panel of the Oraguard and the VViViD to see how they perform in direct sunlight over a dark blue background. I bought this when the brand I normally get was out of stock. It is decent. It is kind of thicker than I would normally like it to be and it isn’t quite as clear as some others but overall is okay. It’s a pretty big roll for the price so I think it’s worth it. It cuts easily with scissors. I do think the thickness does make it a little more difficult to put on smoothly without wrinkles though. ... show more

Not sure I’m using it for its intended purpose but our pool’s vinyl liner seems to have started to deteriorate from the sun exposing the fibers on the top rail. It was causing bumps and irritation when leaning over the pool and on our arms and legs. Purchased a 12” x 15’ roll and cut it into three 4” strips and to the length in between each post. Still have plenty left over I could use for other projects. Stuck very well to the pool liner and having the grid on the paper backing made it very easy to cut.     • Don't stress bubbles much!

Used it on my faded and yellowing carbon fiber spoiler. Sanded w 1000grit first. Had to lift and reapply several times which made the glue fog underneath, also had several air bubbles i couldn't get out. To my surprise within 1-2 days in the sun all the bubbles and "glue haze" disappeared. It's only been few days but I'm very happy with it now.. Question will be how long it will last. 12" x 15' roll allows me to reapply two more times if needed so def worth it. Seems to be sticking even better the more it bakes in the sun🤞 ... show more

    • Great laminate, but the semi deep machine cuts suck.

I really like the 3mil thickness of this VVIVID laminate. It's sturdy and applies well. But I keep finding weird, semi deep machine like cuts in the film, sheet after sheet. These aren't normal micro scratches. They're visible in certain lighting and have already ruined multiple pages of stickers for me. I've gone through about 20% of the roll and the problem hasn't stopped. Maybe I'm being picky. ... show more

    • A Sticker's Best Friend
So, yeah, it's a bit tricky to work with at first, but after a few cuts, you'll have a system of your own down pat for the perfect coverage. Cut out enough to cover a sticker sheet, and start from one end as you SLOWLY unroll the clear sheet down the sticker page, while using your hand(s) to rub back and forth as you continue to unroll, in order to make sure no air bubbles or creases appear. When you cut a sheet of this, it will curl so be patient, and you will have a few failures along the way. Once a crease appears, there's no way backing out or correcting it, so each time you want to laminate your sticker sheet, you have one shot at it, so you need to be on target. Most times, air bubbles can be corrected while laying the sheet down, but once it's completely covered, it's becomes a lot more difficult to flatten these annoyances out. The whole process takes about 2 minutes. Once completely covered, just drop it into your cutting machine (I've been using my Cameo 4), and slice away (don't forget to increase your cut force/blade). I have mine set at Blade: 6, Force 33, speed 7. I haven't done kiss cuts yet, as I am only working with die cuts. After you punch out your stickers, behold the sheen, strength and ultra water proof-E-ness. For a test, I slapped standard glossy and matte "water-resistant" stickers on a glass, along side the same stickers covered with this VVivid laminate. Popped it into the washing machine. The result: The standard gloss sticker's were runny, while the matte's color completely washed out leaving a faint memory of what once was art. The stickers treated with VVivid were 100% perfect. Now I can sell these without being paranoid. ... show more
